Welcome,

Dear soul,

Ready to close out the day with gratitude into sleep.

You are here at the very end of your day,

A time where there is nothing left to do,

Nothing left to solve,

Nothing left to carry forward.

This is your time to rest.

Allow your body to settle into your sleeping position now,

However feels most natural,

Most comfortable,

Most effortless for you.

Let your bed support you completely.

Let the surface beneath you do all the holding,

So you can let go.

If your eyes are not already closed,

Allow them gently to close now.

Let your attention turn inwards.

Begin with noticing your breath,

Slow breaths in through the nose,

And releasing out.

Perhaps take one deeper breath in now,

In through the nose,

And release this one out through the mouth with a sigh.

Again breathing in deeply,

And breathing out,

Letting the day dissolve.

One more deep,

Nourishing inhale,

And a long,

Easy exhale,

Sending the signal to your body that it's safe to sleep now.

Allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm.

You don't need to follow it,

It will take you where you need to go.

Your breath knows the way.

As your body softens,

Imagine a warm,

Gentle light appearing above the crown of your head.

This light is slow,

Steady,

And calming.

It carries the frequency of gratitude,

The quiet appreciation that comes from simply being alive.

Feel this light resting above you,

And then slowly,

Gently,

It begins to pour down through you.

As it moves across your forehead,

The brow smooths,

The eyes relax back into their sockets,

The jaw releases,
