Welcome.
I'm Bethany,
And I'm honored to guide you today.
This time is for you to soften,
To reconnect,
And to remember your natural state of wholeness.
If at any moment you wish to adjust,
Pause,
Or open your eyes,
Know that is always welcome.
Allow yourself to find a comfortable position,
Whatever that means for you today.
You might be sitting or lying down,
Supported by the ground beneath you.
If it feels right,
You may gently close your eyes or simply lower your gaze.
Begin by noticing your breath,
Soft,
Natural,
No need to change it.
Just feel its quiet rhythm moving through you.
If it feels supportive,
Allow your awareness to slowly drop down,
Inward and downward,
Into your body,
Into the steadiness of this moment.
Begin to imagine or sense that you are becoming a tree.
Your body is the trunk,
Strong,
Alive,
Steady,
And grounded.
And from the soles of your feet or the base of your spine,
You can sense roots growing downward,
Growing deeply into the earth,
Layer by layer.
You don't have to force the image.
Whatever comes is enough.
You may begin to feel how the earth meets you,
Holding you,
Even loving you.
Take three deep,
Easy breaths,
Drawing up nourishment through your roots.
If you notice any overwhelm or begin to feel distance,
You are welcome to bring your focus simply to the feeling of the ground beneath you,
Anchoring you.
Now,
If it feels supportive,
Shift your attention upward.
Imagine or feel soft light gathering at the crown of your head.
As you sense this soft light,
You begin to feel branches extending toward the sky,
Opening to receive.
Begin to feel the spaciousness of the sky above you,
Vast,
Gentle,
And even wise.
The sun pours its light down through your branches,
Into your trunk,
And deeply into your roots.
You are held between earth and sky,
Grounded and expansive.
Steady and flowing.
Bring your awareness to the center of your chest,
Where earth and sky meet within you.
You might notice a warmth here,
Or simply a sense of presence,
Solidness,
Or feeling centered.
If any sensation feels too strong,
You can always return your attention to your breath or to the support of the earth beneath you.
Here in your center,
You may whisper to yourself,
I am rooted.
I am connected.
I am enough.
You may stay here as long as you wish,
Breathing in your connection,
Breathing out anything you no longer need to earth or sky.
As this meditation comes to a close,
I thank you for sharing this time and space with me.
May you carry the steadiness,
The openness,
And the connection you cultivated here into the rest of your day.
Trust that your inner wisdom is always with you,
Ready to meet you with tenderness and courage.
Whenever you are ready,
Begin to gently open your eyes and start to return to the world,
Grounded and whole.
