Welcome.
I'm Bethany,
And I'm honored to be here with you today,
Guiding you through this visualization and meditation practice.
Begin by taking a comfortable seat with your feet on the floor,
Or lying down if that feels right for you today.
As you experience this meditation,
Allow your intuitive imagination and energy to lead you wherever it wants to go.
If it feels right,
Just notice any of your body sensations,
Emotions,
Words,
Or thoughts as we move through this guided meditation.
To begin,
I invite you to take three long,
Slow inhales and exhales.
In through your nose,
And out through your mouth.
In through your nose,
And out through your mouth.
One more time.
In through your nose,
Deeply in.
And with your exhale,
You may make a sound or a sigh.
Hmm.
Allow your body to be held by the ground beneath you,
And soften your muscles and any tension or holding,
Allowing yourself to be held rather than holding yourself tightly.
We'll begin by visualizing yourself or feeling and sensing yourself in a sacred place in nature.
This can be real or imagined.
You may picture a forest,
A beach,
A private island,
Or even your own backyard.
Begin to notice the colors and textures your eyes take in.
Notice the sounds around you.
Perhaps you hear the song of the birds or leaves rustling in a gentle breeze.
Notice what you're feeling.
Perhaps the ground beneath your feet or the wind on your cheek or the sun's warmth as it shines down on you.
Tune into the smells around you.
Perhaps sweet flowers or the deep smell of earth.
Warming in the sun.
Notice anything you may taste in your mouth as you breathe in the smells.
Now that you are here in nature,
Let's imagine that you spot a big,
Beautiful tree in front of you.
Imagine that you are walking up to this tree.
Allow it to get bigger and bigger as you move closer and closer.
Begin to notice the details of this tree,
The shape of the bark,
Its branches,
The shape of the leaves.
You may even imagine walking up to this tree and touching it.
See how it feels on your skin.
You begin to notice a door on the trunk of this tree.
And as you touch the tree,
It begins to turn into a large opening.
And you're able to step into the tree.
Feel yourself entering the tree.
As you enter fully into this big,
Beautiful tree,
Notice if you can feel your body expanding and actually becoming the tree.
Your legs and feet start to grow and reach down deeply into the earth as your roots.
Keep breathing gently as your imagination guides you.
Your chest and abdomen and all of your organs are now the long trunk of the tree.
And your arms,
Hands,
Fingers,
And head begin to reach up and out in all directions towards the sky.
And you become the branches and leaves.
As you breathe in,
Feel your breath coming in through your leaves and branches and going all the way down through your trunk and into the roots of the ground.
Allow your breath to connect with all of the earth's qualities,
The feminine,
The sacred mother,
Compassion,
Love,
Abundance,
Creation,
And creativity,
Grounded presence,
Nurturing,
And caring.
Notice if any other qualities are showing up for you as you allow yourself to feel your connection deep into the mother that holds you.
Now breathe in through your roots all of these wonderful qualities or maybe one particular quality you need today.
Breathing it in through your roots up into your trunk,
Feeling it enter your whole being.
Now reach your branches and leaves out just a little more and expand into the open sky above where you can feel the love and the warmth of the sun,
Feel the spaciousness of the sky and the open qualities that come as you expand,
Compassion,
Clarity,
Expansion and openness,
Patience and persistence,
Protection and strength,
Warm and guidance.
Notice if there are any other qualities that show up for you and begin to let your breath bring all of these qualities or perhaps the one that you may need the most today into your entire body.
Feel the energy of the air,
And vibration of these qualities entering your whole being,
Filling you in from above.
With each inhale,
You bring in and allow more and more to fill you up,
Allowing yourself to become a vessel as these qualities move through you from above and below,
Filling in your whole being.
Begin to notice what happens in your energy field and in your body as you allow this in.
Notice if there may be a word or sensation that comes to you that captures what you're experiencing.
Hold that word and feeling sense and do 10 slow butterfly taps back and forth,
Letting yourself amplify and build those sensations within,
Moving left to right,
Tapping back and forth,
Allowing the feeling to grow.
When it feels right,
You may stop tapping,
Bringing your awareness to being this tree,
And you have now permission to step out of the tree and come back into your body.
So as you step out,
You can imagine stepping onto the land back in your beautiful sacred landscape,
Continuing to walk back,
Noticing your senses.
And as you move back to where you began,
Start to notice yourself and your consciousness in your current environment,
Bringing your awareness back to the floor or seat beneath you,
Bringing your awareness back to your breath,
Moving in and out and through your nose,
Down into the lungs and filling up,
And then moving back out.
Bring your awareness back to your eyes,
That space behind your eyes and gently open them or focus them and look around your room gently and slowly.
I invite you to take a moment to write down any words that may have come up for you in your journal write down whatever else you may have noticed from this experience.
And if there was a word or a feeling sensation that you connected with the butterfly tapping that anchored that in.
So now that's your keyword to come back to the sensation of being connected above and below.
To that support,
Grounding,
Protection and calmness that flows easily into you and through you now.
You're welcome to come back to this meditation again and again and again to build your capacity for more connection,
Calm and grounding.
Thank you for meditating with me and I wish you well as you move into your day from this quiet centered place.
