Welcome to Bell Practice.

I am Tanya Bell.

This meditation is crafted to cultivate mindfulness of the breathing body while exploring what can open up in our lives when we respond with a sacred yes.

This meditation is inspired by the book Life Visioning by Dr.

Michael Beckwith.

To prepare,

I invite you to get in a comfortable position in any way that comfort is defined by you,

Which also opens you up to be fully present.

You can choose to close your eyes or keep them open with a soft gaze.

Gently start by exploring your breath with three deep and intentional breaths at your own pace.

Now find your natural breathing rhythm,

Taking some time to notice a few qualities of your breathing that may be present for you today.

Only notice your breathing and allow it to be.

Continue noticing the presence of your breath.

Notice the flow of air in and out,

In and out,

In and out.

Resting in your natural rhythm at this moment,

Can you notice how the air outside of yourself connects to the air inside of yourself?

As you breathe,

The air outside of yourself becomes the air nurturing your body.

Let your attention explore a part of your body responding to your breathing.

This may be your throat,

Chest,

Abdomen.

It can be more internal.

Your heart,

Lungs,

Stomach.

Oxygen is moving to every part of your body.

You may even notice a more subtle response to your breathing in your hands,

Arms,

Back,

Legs,

Or feet.

As you explore the points of connection with your breath,

Your mind may wander.

That is all part of the process and you can rest knowing you have your to rely on and return to.

In the book Life Visioning,

Dr.

Michael Beckwith offers the idea of the sacred yes.

That in a sacred yes,

There is no separation between you and your yes.

Based on this teaching,

If there is no separation between you and your breath,

What can you say yes to through your breathing?

You can explore your sacred yes through your in-breath and out-breath.

Breathe in life and breathe out yes.

Breathe in love and breathe out yes.

Breathe in kindness and breathe out yes.

Breathe in abundance and breathe out yes.

Breathe in being loved and breathe out being loving.

Breathe in peace and breathe out being peaceful.

Breathe in ease and breathe out joy.

Breathe in gratitude and breathe out appreciation.

Breathe in freedom and breathe out grace.

Breathe in a smile and breathe out celebration.

Continue breathing in and out all your sacred yeses.

In and out,

In and out,

In and out.

Deep breath here in acknowledgement of your willingness to say yes to the goodness of life.

Allow yourself a few moments to absorb all of your sacred yeses.

I will mind the time.

You can bring yourself back and prepare to bring your practice to a close in the same way we began with three deep and intentional breaths at your own pace.

Feel free to move your fingers and toes.

Bring your attention to the textures in the fabric you are wearing.

If it feels good,

You can stretch.

And if they have been closed,

Please feel free to open your eyes.

Thank you for practicing today.

May the goodness of life open to your sacred yes.
