Welcome to Be With Melinda,
A place for honesty,
Trust,
Rest,
And return.
Today we are moving into radical self-compassion to sage the fire of rage and open the way to clarity of peace and stillness.
Take a comfortable seat or lie down.
Let your body feel supported.
Take a slow deep breath in and a long exhale out.
Let your shoulders drop and your jaw soften.
Arrive here.
Bring to mind the energy of rage,
Anger,
Or frustration that you may be carrying.
Notice where it lives in your body.
Perhaps the chest,
The belly,
The throat,
The jaw.
No need to push it away.
Simply acknowledge,
I feel this.
I see this.
I honor this.
Rage is not wrong.
Rage is energy calling to be witnessed.
Imagine now that you are holding a bundle of sage.
See the smoke rising in gentle curls.
Each breath you take is like this sacred smoke,
Clearing,
Softening,
Releasing.
As you inhale,
Welcome clarity.
As you exhale,
Allow the heaviness to rise and dissolve like smoke disappearing into the air.
Take a slow inhale through the nose,
Filling the belly.
Hold for a gentle moment.
Exhale,
Fully releasing heat,
Tension,
And the story.
Let's repeat this rhythm two more times.
Take a slow inhale through the nose,
Filling the belly.
Hold for a gentle moment.
Exhaling fully,
Releasing heat,
Tension,
And the story.
One more time.
Take a slow inhale through the nose,
Filling the belly.
Hold for a gentle moment.
Exhaling fully,
Releasing heat,
Tension,
And the story.
Now,
Feel the fire of rage beginning to shift from sharp and burning to warm and steady,
From consuming to illuminating.
Feel the fire become a soft glow,
A flame of presence within you.
Notice the stillness underneath.
Notice the peace returning.
Silently repeat within yourself.
I honor my anger.
I release what no longer serves me.
I return to stillness and peace.
Let these words echo gently,
Like the smoke that lingers and then fades.
Take one final deep breath in.
Exhale,
Letting the last traces of heaviness leave your body.
Rest in the quiet that remains.
When you are ready,
Slowly open your eyes.
Carry this peace with you into the rest of your day.
