Welcome to Be With Melinda.
Today's practice is about presence and awareness.
Begin by noticing your body where it is supported beneath you.
Feel the contact beneath you and allow the weight of your body to be received.
Take one slow breath in through the nose and a gentle breath out.
Bring attention to the chest and stay with direct sensation.
You may notice warmth,
Tightness,
Openness,
Ache.
Whatever sensation you notice belongs.
The love wound is a learned response,
A place where the body adapted in order to stay connected.
Acknowledge quietly something here learned to protect.
If the mind moves towards evaluation or comparison,
Recognize this as movement and return attention to sensation,
Breath,
Weight,
And contact.
Presence allows experience to unfold at its own pace.
Now,
Sense the awareness that is noticing all of this,
The part of you that can feel sensation while remaining whole.
Rest there.
This is awakening in its simplest expression,
Awareness disentangling from old patterns.
If longing is present,
Allow it.
If grief is present,
Let it breathe.
If spaciousness is present,
Trust that as well.
As presence steadies,
Judgment loosens.
Protection softens when safety is felt.
You may offer yourself this truth,
I can feel this and remain intact.
Take another slow breath,
Inhaling into the chest and exhaling with ease.
Allow the body to register this moment of being with experience without effort.
Stay for a few more breaths.
Thank you for practicing with me.
May this presence continue to meet you with steadiness,
Clarity,
And care.
When you're ready,
Take one final breath,
Slow and complete,
And gently return.
Thank you.
