Welcome to Be With Melinda.
Begin by settling your body in to wherever you are.
Find contact with the chair,
The floor,
Or the surface holding you.
Take a slow breath in through the nose and let it go through the mouth.
Again.
A slow breath in through the nose and let it go through the mouth.
There are moments when nothing feels resolved.
No clear answers.
No clean endings.
No sense of arrival.
This meditation is not here to fix that.
Because grace in these moments is not relief.
Grace is the capacity to remain present when relief hasn't arrived yet.
Let yourself be exactly where you are.
Bring awareness to your body.
Notice where you're holding tension and do your best to acknowledge it and hopefully release some of the holding tension.
The shoulders,
The chest,
The belly.
These places have been carrying unanswered questions.
Let the breath move through them without instruction.
Simply say to yourself,
This is what's here right now.
Nothing more.
Notice any part of you that's waiting for things to make sense.
Waiting for clarity.
Waiting for healing to look a certain way.
Grace does not rush the process.
Grace removes the demand that things resolve on your schedule.
With the next exhale,
Loosen your grip on the when part of your story.
Say quietly to yourself,
I don't need today to solve everything and let that land.
Bring attention to the center of your chest,
Not the emotional heart,
The steadier place beneath it.
The place that knows how to stay even when conditions are imperfect.
Feel your breath there.
Grace lives here,
Not as comfort,
But as steadiness.
Not as certainty,
But as trust in your capacity to remain.
You are not required to understand this moment in order to inhabit it.
If disappointment,
Grief,
Or fatigue is present,
Let it be present.
Grace does not erase things.
Grace allows them without turning them into a verdict about your life.
Breathe in staying.
Breathe out softening the struggle against what is.
You are not failing because things are unresolved,
You are living.
So internally say slowly,
I am allowed to be here even like this.
I am allowed to rest even without answers.
This moment does not define the whole story.
Feel how these words don't fix,
But steady.
That,
My friends,
Is grace.
