Shloka - Om Sahanāvavatu
In the Swaminarayan tradition, shlokas are sacred Sanskrit verses composed with deep spiritual meaning and poetic rhythm. More than a recitation, a shloka is a meditative expression of devotion, philosophy, and divine praise. These verses are often memorized, sung, and contemplated by devotees as part of daily worship and spiritual learning. Om sahanāvavatu. saha nau bhunaktu saha vīryam karavāvahai Tejasvinā-vadhī-tamastu mā vid-viṣhāvahai Om śhāntiḥi śhāntiḥi śhāntiḥi Om, may we (the teacher and the student) be protected. May we be nourished together. May we work together with great energy. May our study be enlightening and not give rise to hostility. Om, peace, peace, peace.
