The Creative Flow Mindfulness (CFM) Method, developed by Anne Pflug, a fine artist and certified meditation teacher, emerged from her personal need to address perfectionism. As an artist, the pressure to create flawless works often stifled her creativity. Through personal exploration of mindfulness and meditation, she discovered the importance of self-kindness and acceptance. Creativity flows best from a state of "non-striving." This insight led Anne to develop the CFM Method, which combines artistic creativity with mindfulness. Initially developed for her own use, she soon realized that this method could help others, especially those without prior artistic experience. During her mindfulness mentor training, Anne recognized that the CFM Method not only fosters artistic creativity but also enhances self-acceptance and authentic leadership within teams. This method is particularly valuable for leaders who often step out of their comfort zones and bear significant responsibilities. Like artists facing new challenges, leaders greatly benefit from the blend of creativity and mindfulness. When leaders learn that they can be creative without prior experience and enjoy the scientifically proven benefits of mindfulness training—being in flow and having fun—it becomes evident that the CFM Method is a perfect fit. A McKinsey study found that leaders are five times more productive when in flow. Through workshops and 1:1, Anne guides individuals to achieve and harness this state.
