Welcome to this morning meditation for teachers.
Begin by finding a comfortable seated position.
You can do this meditation at home or once you arrive at school and are sitting in your car or in your classroom at your desk.
Just a few moments of quiet can set a positive tone for your day.
Close your eyes gently and take a deep breath in through your nose and out with a gentle sigh,
Inviting any tension that you're holding on to to melt away.
As you breathe in,
Bring your awareness to this moment.
You are here,
Ready to inspire.
As you breathe out,
Let go of yesterday's stressors and any lingering distractions.
Take a moment to reflect on why you chose to become a teacher.
Perhaps it was to help young minds reach their potential or to create a safe space where students can express themselves.
Let that feeling wash over you.
Continue breathing slowly and mindfully,
Inhaling positivity,
Strength and patience,
And exhaling self-doubt and worry.
With each breath,
Feel the weight of your responsibilities lighten.
Visualize your classroom as a safe haven,
A place where your students grow and thrive.
Imagine the laughter,
The learning,
And those aha moments.
Hold on to that vision.
Now take some time to acknowledge the challenges that you face.
It's okay to feel overwhelmed.
Recognize that you're not alone.
Many teachers share this journey.
As you continue to breathe,
Repeat these affirmations either out loud or quietly to yourself.
I am strong.
I make a difference.
And one more time.
I am strong.
I make a difference.
Take another deep breath in,
Acknowledging the important role you play in your students' lives.
Exhale,
Releasing any lingering stress.
When you're ready,
Gently blink your eyes open and carry this sense of purpose and calm into your day.
