Welcome to this Taoist meditation.
As you arrive,
Allow yourself to step gently out of the rush of the day.
This is your time.
It's an offering of stillness,
Alignment,
And quiet clarity beneath the stars.
So sit or lie comfortably in your space.
Feel your body soften.
Feel the ground beneath you,
The steady support of the air.
You are safe and you are held.
With each breath,
Release any stress or tension and just allow yourself to come into this moment.
The present moment right now.
Let go of any need to do and just come back to the quiet art of simply being.
Breathe and arrive.
Gently close your eyes and soften into the moment.
Let's gently move through the body now,
Awakening your inner awareness.
Begin at the crown of your head,
Soften your forehead,
Your jaw,
The base of your neck.
Let your shoulders drop,
Heavy and relaxed.
Move your awareness down your arms to your fingertips,
Soft,
Open,
At ease.
And draw attention to your chest,
Your heartbeat.
Let your heart soften.
Feel the breath move gently in and out of your lungs like waves.
Notice your belly soft and unguarded.
Relax your hips,
Thighs,
Knees,
All the way down to the soles of your feet.
Your whole body is here,
Present,
Relaxed,
Aware.
Now see yourself under the vast night sky.
There's a blanket of stars that stretches endlessly above you.
In the northern sky,
The Big Dipper comes into focus,
Its seven stars gleaming like lanterns in the darkness.
This constellation has guided travelers for thousands of years.
It's a symbol of rhythm,
Direction,
And natural order in the dearest wisdom.
Feel yourself becoming part of this celestial scene.
You lie or sit beneath the stars,
And the seven stars of the Dipper begin to glow more brightly.
Each star now links with an aspect of your being.
Your mind is clear and open.
Your breath steady and flowing.
Your body grounded and peaceful.
Your heart soft and courageous.
Your spirit is luminous and free.
Your intention is aligned and focused.
Your destiny is unfolding with grace.
As you breathe,
A soft light from each star flows into you,
Gently illuminating that part of yourself.
You are not separate from this rhythm.
You are of it.
So,
Inhale,
Draw in starlight,
And exhale,
Radiate calm.
You are held in the arms of the cosmos.
Now,
Turn gently inward,
And just reflect on this truth.
The stars do not rush,
Strive,
Or force their light.
They simply are,
Shining with clarity,
Always in their rightful place in the sky.
What might your life feel like if you trusted your own rhythm this deeply?
What if,
Like the Dipper,
You let yourself be gently guided by inner knowing,
Trusting that even in stillness,
You are moving?
You don't need to be more.
You are already in the flow of the way,
The deoist way.
Now,
Just affirm to yourself,
Either out loud or as a whisper.
And move in harmony with the way.
Like the stars,
I shine by simply being.
Stillness is my strength.
Clarity is my compass.
Reflect on these words and feel them echo into your being.
Beautiful.
Now,
Return slowly to your breath.
Feel the subtle rise and fall.
The sky is still within you.
The Dipper remains above,
Quiet and eternal,
And its light now lives within you.
So,
Rest now in this starlit stillness.
The Dipper watches over the northern sky,
Just as your own inner wisdom watches over your life.
So,
With each breath you take,
Return to this center,
To this vast,
Wise,
Spaciousness within you.
When you're ready,
Gently return to the rhythm of your body and the earth beneath you.
But know this quiet stillness,
This guiding light,
Remains with you always.
Bring your awareness back to your body now,
Your hands,
Your feet.
Roll your shoulders if that feels good,
And just let your breath deepen.
Know that you can return to this celestial stillness any time you need.
The way is always here.
The stars are always shining.
So now,
Bow gently to yourself.
For choosing presence,
For remembering your natural rhythm,
And for honoring the sacred in your day.
When you're ready,
Slowly and gently open your eyes.
You've come home.
Namaste,
My friend.
