Hello,
Welcome to this meditation for inner peace and letting go,
Inspired by the calmness of a gentle wind.
I invite you to find a comfortable position,
Either seated or lying down.
Whatever is your practice,
Settling in,
Allowing your eyes to close softly or soften the gaze,
Whatever feels most natural.
Just allowing yourself to take a moment to arrive.
This is your time,
Your time for letting go,
Connecting with inner peace.
I invite you to take a slow,
Natural breath in,
And as you exhale,
Allow your body to release just a little bit more into wherever you are.
There's nothing you need to do right now,
Nowhere you need to go.
Allowing yourself full permission to simply be here.
Noticing the weight of your body and the earth that is holding you.
You don't have to hold yourself up in this moment.
Now,
I invite you to gently imagine an image to begin to form behind your closed eyes or your softened gaze.
You find yourself standing in an open meadow,
The grass soft beneath your feet,
Stretching wide in every direction.
The sky above you is vast,
A blue that feels like it goes on forever,
Soft,
Steady,
Alive.
It brushes your cheek,
Moves through your hair,
Whispers through the tall grass around you.
The wind asks nothing of you.
It simply moves freely through everything it touches.
It feels natural.
Begin to notice your breath,
Your breath like the wind moving in and out,
Breathing in through your nose slowly,
Feeling the air fill your belly like a sail catching a breeze,
And breathing out gently,
A long,
Easy release.
In,
Receiving,
Opening.
Out,
Exhaling,
Releasing,
Letting go.
With each exhale,
You might imagine the wind carrying something away,
Not forcing,
Not pulling,
Just lifting.
It's the way the wind lifts a dandelion seed,
Carries it effortlessly into the sky.
Just allow yourself to continue at your own pace,
Inhaling and exhaling.
There is no rush.
As you rest here,
You might begin to notice what you've been carrying.
Maybe you've thought about something unresolved,
Gently acknowledging it.
And when you're ready,
Imagine placing it into the wind.
No need to throw it.
No need to force it.
Just opening your hands until it fades into the distance.
And perhaps something else arises.
It could be anything.
Grief.
And quietly from the heart,
You might say,
I see you.
And with your next exhale,
Allow the wind to carry you.
I invite you to notice,
In the space where something has softened or released,
What remains.
Is there a sense of openness?
A quiet?
Gently offering something back.
A quiet sense of being held.
With each inhale,
Imagine breathing in peace.
Spreading through your chest.
There is something deeply supportive.
Allow yourself to receive it.
And if it feels comfortable,
I invite you to place one hand over your heart.
The gentle rise and fall of your breath.
And silently or softly,
Offer yourself these words,
Repeating after me.
May I be at peace.
May I be held gently.
May I trust the movement of this life.
Again,
Silently or aloud.
May I trust the movement of this life.
May I trust the movement of this life.
Allow the words landing,
Just as they are.
Now.
And every exhale,
A release.
And every inhale,
A return home.
