Hello and welcome.
My name is Aniyah.
And this is an invitation to pause and be present with your breath.
I invite you to find a comfortable position,
Allowing the body to fidget and wiggle until you find a place of ease.
And once you feel settled,
Begin to bring awareness to your breath without feeling the need to change anything just yet.
Observing,
Noticing,
Noticing the qualities of the breath,
Whether it's shallow or deep,
Smooth or ragged,
Fast or slow.
Noticing how it feels as it moves through the body,
Flowing in and out.
And with this awareness,
You may notice that the breath begins to change on its own.
You may find space in the body to breathe a little more easily,
To slow it down,
To fill the lungs all the way down to the bottom.
Noticing the rise and fall of the belly,
Expansion and contraction of the ribcage,
Maybe a little movement through collarbones and shoulder blades.
Begin to visualize the breath flowing into every cell of the body.
Inhaling all the way down into the toes,
Out to the fingertips and to the top of the head.
Exhaling,
The breath flows back towards the center and out through the nose or the mouth.
Maybe with each breath,
You feel the body begin to soften,
To settle into even more ease.
Stay with the awareness of your breath for a little while longer,
Allowing it to flow freely.
Feeling this life force,
Prana,
Energy,
Moving throughout your entire body.
And at any point during your day,
If you notice yourself feeling stressed,
Anxious,
The muscles tightening,
Hear a little voice in your head that says,
Just breathe and give yourself a moment to come back to the breath,
To pause,
To allow this life force to move through you freely.
And remember that you can come back to this,
This recording anytime that you need.
Anytime you need that reminder to just breathe and be.
