As we experience life and all of the highs and lows that come our way,
It is often necessary to go within to unlock access to healing.
It isn't always obvious that healing is needed and today it might not be,
But it's a good idea to check in with self from time to time and let self have a say.
My name is Amy and it is my pleasure to be guiding you on this journey within today.
Let's find out what you need.
Find a place where you won't be disturbed and get yourself comfortable,
Sitting or even better lying down.
Now close your eyes.
We're meditating today to the frequency of the root chakra which will help emotional release and grounding.
Let's take a moment to focus on the sound.
How is your body feeling today?
Are you tight,
Sore or comfortable?
Is there any tension in your jaw right now?
Can you relax your tongue,
Unclench your teeth?
Allow your body to speak to you.
Are there any areas right now that need to relax?
Any tense muscles that need to be eased?
Allow yourself to gently readjust and realign if need be.
Now let's focus on the breath.
We're going to take some breaths in and out together,
Increasing the length of time we inhale and exhale as we go.
Let's start with a breath of four count in and five count out.
Just follow my lead.

Let your breathing come back to a natural rhythm and allow yourself to enjoy this moment of calm.
I would like you to imagine that you are strolling through a forest.
Hear the sound of the birds,
Nature all around you.
And as you walk,
Observe the trees.
The trees that surround you have been here for many years.
They stand proud,
Welcoming you as you pass through their sanctuary.
You can feel the forest floor beneath your feet.
Golden leaves,
Crunchy twigs and pieces of bark.
It's soft and damp and sinks slightly downwards with every step you take.
Above you,
Leaves in all different shades of green have formed a canopy.
A mantle of protection from the elements.
Rays of sun peek through the gaps in the foliage.
Light dances on the ground.
Through the trees,
Just ahead,
You notice a clearing.
And there's a pathway that forks left,
Straight on and right.
Today,
You choose to head left.
As you walk down the path,
A bubbling forest stream reveals itself ahead.
Wildflowers,
Shrubs and dandelions have blossomed all around.
In front of the stream,
A being sits on a rock by the water's edge,
Holding a stick.
It's your younger self.
The first thing you notice is your shoes.
Covered in mud.
Your knees and fingertips coated in dirt from digging in the earth.
As you move closer,
You see a small collection of rocks gathered in a pile at your side.
And a feather.
Your younger self sees you now.
And you greet each other with a hello.
Take a seat on the rock next to your younger self.
Tell them that you are listening and can answer their questions.
Talk with them now.
Talk.
As you share this moment together.
A sense of lightness,
Floating,
Begins to take over now.
You hold the hands of your younger self tightly.
And facing each other,
You allow the lightness to lift you both up.
As you float higher.
Into the complete unknown.
You know that it's going to be okay.
Reassure your younger self.
I am here with you.
I will keep you safe.
And we are strong.
You continue to float together.
Into an infinite peaceful place of light and love.
We're going to start coming back down now.
Very slowly.
Into the body.
As we do this,
Remember that your younger self lives within you always.
In your gut feelings.
In the fibres of your muscles.
In the makeup of your mind.
If you pause to listen,
They will offer up their raw wants and desires.
They trust you to hear them.
And respond in a way that keeps you both safe and happy.
Feel your fingers now.
Give them a wiggle.
And bring the awareness down to your toes.
Start to slowly stretch and move.
Waking up your physical being.
Take one big breath in.
And you may wish to take some time after this meditation ends to journal any thoughts or feelings you have right now.
As you open your eyes,
Here's what you need to hear today.
You are wise.
And have grown.
Be proud.
And trust yourself.
