Hello and welcome.
My name is Pratikha.
And this meditation is called BSUR.
Be as you are.
Do not try to change yourself.
So much suffering begins through the conditioned belief.
That who we are is somehow not enough.
It is about recognizing that the very activity we have been engaged in this constant mental doing,
This mental scanning.
Is perpetual effort.
Looking to become something other than what we are.
Is precisely what obscures the truth we seek.
And it's from disbelief that the mind begins endlessly searching.
For happiness,
Improvement.
Validation success.
The human mind believes that peace must be achieved.
That happiness must be acquired.
That truth must be found through effort and accumulation.
You will come to recognise that peace,
Joy and fulfilment are not found through becoming something more.
They are revealed in the simplicity.
Quietness and stillness.
Of one's present awareness.
Peace,
Joy,
And contentment begin.
When the struggle to change ourselves is transformed.
By the recognition that there is nothing that needs to be done.
The mind is never still.
It moves from one thought to the next.
Always seeking,
Always grasping.
Always convinced.
That the next thought,
The next insight,
The next experience will finally bring.
The fulfilment it craves.
We have forgotten what we are.
We have become so identified.
With the movement of thought.
With the personal story.
With the sense of being a separate individual.
Navigating through time and space.
That we have lost contact.
With the silent,
Away presence.
That has been here all along.
Witnessing everything.
Untouched by any experience.
And these are the movements away from what is present.
A quiet resistance to what is here.
As we are now.
There is nothing you need to do.
We remain trapped in the same illusion that created our suffering in the first place.
Fear from the belief that we are incomplete.
And must do something more to become complete,
Whole.
The mind wants to figure everything out.
To maintain control,
To ensure its own survival and significance.
But this very effort creates a tension,
A contradiction.
A contraction.
That separates us from the natural flow expansion.
And ease of existence.
And the nervous system and the body can feel this conflict.
The tension.
Of observing and comparing.
Trying to become something more,
Something more.
To be known as or by.
Until the body can begin to remain engaged.
In prolonged states of nervous system restlessness.
For beneath all of this striving,
All of these movements.
There already exists that.
Which has never needed improvement.
Acquired awareness of ease and flow that exists.
Before comparison.
Before a judgment.
Before the idea of who you should be.
Be here.
Just as you are.
No longer measure yourself against imagined versions of who you think you must become,
Must look like.
There is something deeply healing and restoring in no longer questioning yourself.
We can spend so much time and effort in scanning,
Trying to fit in.
Trying to be recognised.
Trying to become something within structures created by thought and conditioning.
And yet much of what we seek acceptance from.
Has no stable or lasting reality of its own.
The image,
The identity,
The social mask.
The endless measurement of worth.
So much energy can be spent trying to belong to ideas about who we should be.
Rather than resting as what we already are before all comparisons begin.
For true freedom begins when we no longer shape our lives around being seen by a world that itself is uncertain.
Objective.
Fragile,
Temporary and constantly changing.
You cannot figure out enlightenment.
You cannot achieve what you already are.
When you stop trying,
When you simply rest as the natural awareness of being.
Without judgment,
Without agenda,
Without identity.
Without the constant commentary,
Comparison and projections.
Then truth reveals itself.
As that which one is.
That which one has been searching for all this while.
Aware.
And fully available in stillness.
Right here.
Right now.
Blessings to you.
