What if the person you believe yourself to be is not actually an identity? Much of what we call “me” is formed through memories, experiences, opinions, other people’s perceptions, achievements, qualities we admire, and ideas about who we should become. Over time, this collection of thoughts becomes an image of ourselves — something we continually try to maintain, improve, and project into the future. But what happens when we stop trying to become a better version of this imagined “you”? This meditation invites you into a quiet exploration of self-image, identity, self-improvement, awareness, and the deeper nature of being. Rather than creating another identity or searching for an answer in thought, you are invited to simply notice what is present before the mind says, “I am this” or “I am that.” What remains when the descriptions, judgements, comparisons, and projections are put aside? A meditation for self-inquiry, presence, and conscious awareness.
