Greetings.
I'm so glad that you're here.
I'm Alexis Brightman.
And this meditation is an invitation to soften into the world of possibility.
To remember.
Even when life feels familiar.
Heaven.
Or unmoving.
There is always room for things to shift.
Open.
And to become something new.
Wherever you are,
Allow yourself to arrive.
You don't need to force anything.
You don't need to know how change will happen.
You only need to be here.
Breathing.
Listening.
Gently opening to what might be.
Take a slow,
Steady inhale.
And a long,
Unhurried exit.
Again,
Let's inhale.
Feel your body expand.
And exhale.
Feel it release.
This is where we begin.
As you breathe,
Notice the quiet truth that life is never fully settled.
Even when things feel stuck.
Even when patterns feel old.
Even when you've been carrying the same weight.
For a long time.
There is always room.
For something good.
To share.
Possibility is woven into every breath.
You take.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Let your breath remind you.
Or change.
Is natural.
There's nothing in you.
It's permanent.
That every moment carries the potential to become something different.
Maybe you've been feeling held in place by old stories,
By familiar fears.
Of teens that no longer fit.
Maybe you've been longing for something to move.
To soften.
You don't have to make that happen right now.
You don't have to push.
Or strive.
Just breathe.
And let yourself imagine the possibility of things being different.
Inhale,
Things can shift.
Exhale.
I don't have to force it.
Notice what happens in your body when you allow even a small opening.
Maybe your shoulders drop.
Maybe your chest feels a little less guarded.
Maybe a breath moves more freely.
Whatever you can notice.
Is enough.
And maybe think of this for a moment.
There was a woman who walked the same path through her neighborhood every single day.
A familiar loop she could trace without thinking.
She liked the predictability of it.
The way her feet knew exactly where to go.
Well,
One morning,
She noticed a small handwritten sign taped to a lamp post.
Detour.
Sidewalk.
Problems.
She sighed,
Frustrated,
Because she didn't want a detour.
She wanted her usual route,
Her usual rhythm.
But she turned anyway.
Following the street.
She had never walked before.
A few minutes in.
.
.
She found herself passing a garden she had never seen.
Wild,
Overflowing with colors.
Someone had planted sunflowers taller than she was.
And morning glories curled around the fence like they were reaching out to her.
She stopped.
Surprised by how beautiful it was.
Later she realized.
.
.
That garden had always been there.
That she had simply never taken the path.
That led to it.
Sometimes life's like this.
Quiet detour.
And unexpected turns.
A small shift that reveals something we didn't know we needed.
Possibility doesn't always arrive loudly.
Sometimes it shows up as a new street.
A new moment.
A new breath.
Let yourself soften into that truth.
Even here.
Even now.
Things can be different.
Take another breath in.
And relief.
Feel your body soften around the idea that you are not stuck.
You are not finished.
You are still becoming.
Let yourself rest in that truth.
As we close.
Let your breath be a gentle reminder that change is always possible.
Each inhale creating space.
Each exhale,
Releasing what no longer needs to stay.
You are allowed to grow in new directions.
You are allowed to outgrow old patterns.
You are allowed to imagine a life that feels different from the one that you've known.
I invite you to place a hand over your heart.
Feel its steady rhythm.
The quiet pulse of possibility that exists within you.
For you then.
I am open.
Breathe out.
Things can change.
And if you forget.
.
.
Because we all do.
Come back to your breath.
Come back to this moment.
Come back to the truth.
That life is still unfolding.
And so are you.
Until next time.
