Greetings.
I'm so glad that you're here and thank you for joining me.
My name is Alexis Brightman and today's meditation is an invitation to begin again.
To honor the quiet beauty and starting over.
Not because you've failed,
But because you are alive.
Each breath is a doorway back to yourself.
Each sunrise,
An open hand.
And each moment,
A gentle whisper that says,
You still have time.
So wherever you are,
Find a position that feels comfortable,
Somewhere your body can soften and your mind can settle.
When you're ready,
Let's begin again.
Let's start by taking a deep breath in through your nose for a count of four.
Hold for three and exhale slowly through your mouth for six.
Let your shoulders fall away from your ears.
Let your jaw unclench.
Feel yourself arriving right here,
Right now.
Life moves in cycles,
Cycles of blooming,
Cycles of breaking,
Cycles of becoming.
And sometimes we get caught in the ache of what didn't go as planned.
But this moment,
This breath is proof that you can begin again.
You can start over mid-conversation.
You can start over on a random Thursday afternoon.
You can start over with yourself as many times as it takes.
Breathe in renewal,
Inhaling for a count of four.
Breathe out regret,
Exhaling for a count of six.
Let's do that again together.
Inhale for four.
Hold for three.
Exhale for six.
There's a story that I love.
It's simple,
But it stays with me.
A woman once tended a small garden behind her home.
And one year,
A harsh frost destroyed nearly everything she had planted.
She was heartbroken.
She was devastated.
She had worked so hard and it felt wasted.
But when spring came,
She went out again,
Hands in the dirt,
Face toward the sun.
Her neighbor asked,
Why start over when it might just happen again?
And she said,
Smiling softly,
Because something in me still believes the earth knows how to heal.
That's what it means to begin again.
To trust that what has ended doesn't have the final word.
To plant even after the frost.
To love even after loss.
To try again even after doubt.
Now take another deep breath in.
Hold it for four.
And with your exhale of six,
Imagine releasing everything that keeps you tied to the past.
Let it go with kindness,
Not as punishment,
But as permission.
Permission to be new.
Permission to be here.
Permission to begin again.
If your mind starts to wander,
If thoughts of should or used to be arrive,
Gently return to your breath.
Every inhale is a homecoming.
Every exhale,
A soft clearing of space.
Say to yourself quietly,
This is my beginning.
Again,
Say to yourself quietly,
This is my beginning.
And one more time,
Letting the words linger in your heart,
This is my beginning.
As we come to a close,
Take a moment to rest in the peace of now.
This unrepeatable,
Precious moment.
Beginning again doesn't mean erasing what's been.
It means carrying forward what you've learned with gentleness,
Not guilt.
You are allowed to start over today,
Tomorrow,
Or right in the middle of your breath.
So when life feels heavy,
Please remember this.
You have already survived everything that once felt impossible.
You can begin again as many times as you need to.
Take one last deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Whisper softly to yourself,
I am allowed to begin again.
Thank you for being here with me.
May you move through your day knowing that renewal isn't a second chance,
It's your birthright.
Until next time,
Be kind,
Stay open,
And always remember,
You can begin again.
Be well.
