Hello and welcome.
My name is Ainsley and thank you so much for choosing me as your guide today.
This is a short meditation and it is designed to help you bring yourself back into the present moment,
Settle the mind and help your body feel supported.
So before we start,
Find a comfortable position,
Whatever feels right for you,
And either close the eyes or gently lower the gaze.
This is a short space to let the mind rest.
So just allow yourself now to arrive in this moment exactly as you are.
You don't need to start changing your thoughts,
Just simply allow yourself to pause.
And take a slow inhale through the nose,
And a gentle breath out through the mouth.
And just letting the breath flow naturally in your own natural steady rhythm.
Now begin to notice where the body feels supported.
The floor beneath your feet,
Or the chair holding your weight.
And if the mind feels busy,
That's okay.
So instead of pushing those thoughts away,
Just imagine them like leaves in the wind on a winter's day.
Floating away gently in the breeze.
Just observe the leaves and let them pass by.
And now just imagine a sense of steadiness rising up through the body,
Through your legs,
And through the rest of the body.
Holding you,
Supporting you,
Grounding you.
Let the shoulders soften,
Unclench the jaw,
And let your breath move freely.
Feel the beauty of the stillness.
You are here,
You are present,
And you are supported.
And when you are ready,
Gently open the eyes.
And just very slowly bring your attention back into the space around you.
And carry this steadiness and this stillness with you into the rest of your day.
