Hello and welcome to this bedtime meditation with Reiki.
Thank you for choosing me as your guide.
I'm really glad that you're here.
I love to connect to Reiki in the evening to help my busy mind switch off and to give myself some love and some kindness which feels so good after a day of giving to others and tending to responsibilities.
We get to fill our own cup back up now and everything that we're trying to solve and everything that we're carrying and the problems waiting for answers they will be handled so much better after we have rested and slept well.
So get comfortable now,
Lie down completely,
Feel the weight of your body sinking into whatever is beneath you and let it take your weight fully.
You don't have to hold yourself together anymore tonight.
Just let go.
Let the bed fully hold you.
Let the darkness hold you.
Let yourself be completely held.
And take one slow breath in through the nose all the way down to your belly.
And a long,
Slow breath out through your mouth.
Letting everything soften with it Again,
Breathing in.
Feeling the body expand.
And breathing out.
Releasing the day.
Releasing all of the day.
One more time.
Breathing in.
And a lovely exhale out.
Letting go.
Give yourself permission to completely release.
And let's start with your face,
Your forehead.
Let it smooth out.
Releasing any tension in the temples.
All that thinking and processing and worrying that lived here today.
Just feel that melting away and softening.
Your eyes feel restful.
Your jaw,
Let it drop slightly.
We hold so much.
Without realising.
Just let it go.
Your neck and your throat.
Breathing into it.
Releasing.
Your shoulders.
This is where we carry everyone,
Every responsibility,
Every worry,
Every person.
Let your shoulders drop and relax.
Let it all down.
You've carried enough today.
Your arms feel heavy and warm.
Feeling your hands uncurl,
Open,
Soft.
Nothing to hold on to tonight.
Nothing to grip.
Your chest.
Breathe into your heart space gently.
And as you breathe out,
Let it soften.
Whatever emotions are sitting quietly in your chest tonight.
You don't have to fix them now.
Just let them rest.
They're allowed to be there.
Your stomach.
Your belly.
Let it be completely soft.
No holding,
No bracing.
Just release.
Your hips,
Your legs.
Heavy and still.
Feeling more relaxed.
All the way to the tip of your toes.
Every last bit of tension leaving your body now.
You are completely.
And fully.
Relax.
Your body knows how to rest.
Sometimes we just need to get out of its way.
So take one more slow breath in.
And a lovely long breath out.
Silently say to yourself.
I give myself permission to rest.
I give my mind permission to be still.
I give my body permission to completely let go.
Everything that needs my attention can wait till tomorrow.
I am safe.
I am hell.
I am allowed to rest.
Now I'm going to bring some gentle Reiki energy to you.
To your tired mind.
Your tired body.
And the part of you that has given so much today.
You don't need to do anything.
Just received.
Imagine a soft warm light settling around you.
Like a warm gentle blanket.
Finding every tired place.
Simply warming it.
Restoring it.
Quietly.
And lovingly.
While you sleep tonight.
Your body knows how to heal itself in rest.
Trust that.
Trust yourself.
If sleep wants to come now,
Let it come.
Don't fight it.
Stay here in this warmth.
In this stillness.
You did enough today.
You were enough today.
And tomorrow.
Tomorrow will bring a rested version of you.
