
Being Seen: Family Constellation Meditation For Recognition

So,
Hello everyone and welcome.
Now in today's meditation,
In today's journey,
We'll speak about something that all of us may have experienced or aware of in our own journeys.
And that's the longing to be seen.
Now this longing on a soul level is not about approval,
It's not about performance,
But it is a very very deep desire to be met and accepted as we are,
Without any masks,
Without any defense.
And to feel that our essence and our presence,
Exactly as we are,
Is acknowledged.
Now this yearning,
This longing to belong,
To be seen,
Often takes root in our childhood,
Within our family system.
Now through the lens of family constellation work,
We understand that the need to belong is one of the most powerful forces in our lives.
And from a very young age,
We may adopt roles,
We may have learned to silence parts of ourselves,
Or maybe even dim our light,
In order to stay safe and be accepted.
Now some of these roles that we take on,
I became the caretaker,
I became the peacemaker of the family,
I became the achiever of the family,
Or I was the invisible one.
Now these roles may have helped me survive,
But they possibly also obscured who I truly am.
Now being truly seen begins with seeing ourselves clearly first.
And the start of healing is when we begin to recognize where we have hidden,
And then we gently begin to step back into our light.
So today,
We'll try and create a safe space for that,
A space for you to be witnessed,
Not just by others,
But by your own loving awareness,
And also by the ancestral field that holds your family system.
The most powerful thing for me would be being seen and accepted exactly as I am,
By my parents and my family members.
And I can take that confidence into the world.
And I can live life being me,
Comfortable being seen.
So I'll guide you through a meditation that will honor where you've come from,
Maybe some of the roles that you've played or you're still playing in your lives.
And then we'll try and tap into this essence that's waiting to be reclaimed.
So if you think these words resonate with you,
Then you're very welcome to do this journey with me.
So let's begin.
Now,
Find a place where you can lie down in stillness.
Find a place where you can lie down in stillness.
Close your eyes.
And just find your breath for me.
Find your breath.
As I'm starting now to focus on my breath,
I'm now consciously aware of breathing in.
Feel my stomach rise.
As I breathe out,
My stomach falls,
My lungs fall.
Now,
Continue this process of inhaling and exhaling.
Just watch and observe this process.
You may see as you're exhaling,
Different parts of your body now begin to relax.
I'm aware of my hips,
My spine,
My lower back,
My shoulder blades,
Touching the floor,
Feeling safe,
Feeling supported.
Now,
If there is any tension in my chest or anywhere else in my body,
As I begin to take these conscious breaths,
The tension now slowly begins to fade away,
Slowly begins to fade away,
Slowly begins to fade away.
Now,
Let your breath settle into a natural rhythm.
Feel your body supported by the ground beneath you.
And the words are safety.
Feel the safety of this moment.
I am still,
I am safe.
I am still,
I am safe.
Any residual tension that you possibly carry is now leaving you.
Anything that you don't need in this moment begins to completely fade away now.
Now,
For this journey,
We are going to use visualization as a tool.
Even if you don't get any visions,
Just receive my words and trust.
That you are still receiving from this what you need to receive.
Now,
From this calm,
Relaxed,
Safe and still state,
I'm now going to imagine,
Visualize,
See myself standing in an open field.
I'm standing in an open field right now.
It's vast,
Quiet,
Peaceful,
And everywhere around me,
There is space and silence.
Now,
This field that you're standing in right now,
For today,
Let's call it your inner constellation space,
Where the unseen becomes visible.
I'm standing in this vast,
Quiet,
Peaceful,
Open field.
And I can now see myself.
Now,
You're watching a movie in your mind and you're seeing yourself standing in the center of the field.
Just see yourself there.
In the center of the field,
I see myself standing.
Now,
You might see yourself as you are now.
You might see a younger version of you.
Trust whatever is being shown to you is what needs to come up.
In case you're not seeing anything,
Just keep breathing and receive my words.
And stay maybe with the sensations in your body,
With your awareness.
If you find yourself somewhere else other than a field,
That's perfectly fine too.
I'm standing in the center of this field.
It's vast,
Quiet,
And empty.
Now,
We are telling this field that we now want to invite members of your family system into this space.
One by one,
Members of my family system begin to appear in this space.
Now,
You don't control who comes or how they come.
Let this system form naturally.
Perhaps,
Parents,
Siblings,
Uncles,
Ancestors that passed over.
Some people you don't even recognize.
Just let it happen.
You're sitting in a sacred space right now.
And it's naturally forming a constellation for you.
You are in the center.
And your family members have now entered the constellation space.
Now,
You're in the center of this space.
Just keep watching,
Witnessing.
You're not here to fix anything.
You're not here to judge anything.
Now,
Bring your attention back to yourself standing in the center.
Now,
There could be different people standing around you.
Just watch yourself standing in the center.
How do you appear in this family picture right now?
Are you standing tall?
Are you visible?
Are you turned towards others?
Are you feeling seen?
Or are you feeling overlooked?
Just take a moment to feel the truth of your place in the system.
As I look at myself standing in the center of this system,
What do I notice?
Am I drawn to a particular family member?
Or would I rather feel safe hiding behind them than standing tall on my own?
I'm in a non-judgmental place.
Watch and observe this process.
Now,
The unseen can become seen only if you listen.
With each breath now,
You'll notice more.
Now,
As you look at yourself in the center,
Imagine that there is a gentle light beginning to shine down upon you.
Now,
This is not a spotlight.
For pressure.
But it's rather a warm and loving recognition.
So I'm standing in the center.
My family members are around me.
And now,
There is a gentle light beginning to shine down upon me.
Keep breathing.
Keep breathing.
As this light shines down upon you,
The light of grace,
The light of acceptance,
The light of healing from your ancestors,
You're now slowly stepping out of all the roles that you've played in your life.
With each breath,
This light is helping you take your rightful place now in the system and to your authentic presence.
Now,
In a few moments or possibly even now,
You may see that as soon as the light started shining upon you,
You've decided to change your position in the system.
If I was hiding behind somebody,
I'm now out of the shadow,
Standing on my own.
If I was looking down,
I may be looking up.
So let that change naturally happen.
As you brought this light onto yourself in the center,
You're now taking your rightful place in the system.
Now,
I want you to imagine,
Visualize,
Sense or see yourself wherever you are now in this system.
Step out of the system completely.
Walk,
Walk,
Walk,
Walk,
Walk,
Walk,
Walk and everybody is behind you now.
Everybody is behind you.
Turn towards them.
Turn towards them.
Turn towards them.
And you may be feeling strong sensations in your body as you're doing this,
Maybe resistance,
Maybe relief,
Trust.
I've now stepped out of the role that I had taken on in the family system and now gently I'm turning towards my family system in whatever form they have appeared.
You may be seeing people,
You may just see a tree,
You may be seeing nothing at all.
Turn towards your family system.
Now,
You may feel some emotions arise.
You may feel peace.
You may feel nothing.
All of that is welcome.
I want you to just observe now for a few seconds whatever is happening in your body and in the field.
Now,
I'm seeing my family system in front of me.
I see my father on the right,
My mother on the left,
Possibly other people behind them.
Put your hand on your belly button,
Right or left or both.
Say these words or receive these words.
I allow myself to be seen.
I take my rightful place in the system.
I allow myself to be seen.
I take my rightful place in the system.
I allow myself to be seen.
I take my rightful place in the system.
Notice what you notice in your own body.
Notice what you notice in your parents and your family members as you've said this.
Just let this process happen.
This is you reclaiming the right to be seen.
Now,
I want you to imagine visualizing your own body.
Visualize,
See your sense that the words that I'll be speaking now are coming from your parents.
Both your parents looking at you with all your family system behind them,
They now say you have my permission to be seen.
You have my permission to be seen.
You have our permission to be seen.
We see you,
We see you,
We see you,
We see you today for who you are.
Just see what these words do to you.
Where are they landing?
Now,
Getting permission from my birth parents to be seen is exactly what I needed.
Now,
I can imagine,
I can visualize,
I can sense this right to be seen landing where my hand is on my belly button.
It's going into my solar plexus,
The place of power in my body.
As you breathe now,
There is a yellow or a golden light in your stomach,
In your belly button.
And every breath that you take,
This light begins to grow stronger and stronger and stronger.
We just pause here for a few moments.
As you're reclaiming this right to be seen in the world,
If there is anything in your life that you've been suppressing,
Anything,
Any gifts,
Talents,
Abilities,
Anything that your soul knew and knows you're meant to do,
But because of you not allowing yourself to be seen,
You could not bring that out.
Now,
Let that thing,
That idea,
That activity or anything else come to your awareness.
As I'm reclaiming the right to be seen,
How does my soul want me to be seen in this world?
Now,
Let that information come in.
It may happen now,
It may happen in a few hours,
A few weeks,
A few months,
Just receive.
Any emotions,
Feelings,
Sensations,
Just allow them to happen.
Now,
You can either pause this meditation and stay in this constellation now for a little bit longer.
If you still feel there are movements happening,
You'll now step back a little bit from the parents,
From the family system.
And we'll just say,
Thank you for showing up for me today.
Thank you for showing up for me today.
As you see me,
I choose to see myself.
As you see me,
I choose to see myself.
As you see me,
I choose to see myself.

Now,
You turn your back now.
Your parents and your family system,
They are behind you.
Every step that you take forward now,
This vision begins to fade.
The field remains,
But everybody else fades away,
Fades away,
Fades away.
I now return to my own center.
This is exactly where I was when I started.
Receive my words.
I honor everything that I let go of today.
I honor everything that I brought in today.
I honor all the possibilities of my future.

Shoulders,

Calves,
Feet.
Wiggle your fingers,
Wiggle your toes.
As you feel your body now,
When you're ready,
You can open your eyes.
Now thank yourself for this big piece of work that you've done today.
Sometimes,
We may need to do this more than once,
Just to remind ourselves that I'm not invisible and I can safely be seen in the world.
And as I integrate this on an energy,
On a soul level,
I start to see my external reality switch and shift.
Things that I wanted to do but I couldn't.
Areas of my life where I lack confidence,
Ways in which I wanted to express myself,
All that comes naturally.
Because you're not invisible,
You have the right to belong,
You have the right to be seen.
