Hey there,
Today's practice is a sweet little invitation to spend a few minutes thinking of someone you care about and sending some love their way.
Let's find a comfy seat.
And begin to settle inward.
Arriving in this moment Feel the air moving in and out of your lungs.
Notice the gentle rhythm of your breathing.
Let the day and your thoughts quiet down a bit.
Giving yourself a few moments to simply be here.
When you're ready,
Think of someone who brings warmth to your heart.
It could be a partner.
A friend.
A family member.
A beloved pet.
Anyone you feel affection for.
And if someone specific doesn't come to mind right away,
That's okay.
Perhaps there's someone you're fond of.
Someone you haven't seen in a while,
Or even someone who made your day a little brighter recently.
Let that person come to mind.
Think about what you appreciate about them.
Maybe it's something kind they once did or said.
Maybe it's the way they make an ordinary day a little better.
Perhaps it's their laugh,
The sound of their voice,
Or a little quirk that makes them uniquely themselves.
It doesn't have to be anything extraordinary.
Sometimes it's the smallest things that make someone special to us.
Now take a moment to quietly wish this person well.
You might wish them happiness,
Peace,
Comfort,
Or simply a good day.
Whatever it is you hope life brings them,
Let yourself rest in that feeling of goodwill.
Nothing is needed in return.
And for these few moments,
Let that be enough.
When you're ready,
Gently let the image of this person fade into the background.
Carrying with you the simple warmth of having wished them well.
Now bring some of that same kindness back to yourself.
Notice your own breath again.
The support beneath you,
In the space around you.
And the sounds in your surroundings.
Sit a little taller if that feels comfortable.
Allowing your shoulders to soften and your face to relax You've spent these few moments wishing someone else well.
Take a moment to appreciate yourself too.
For the care you hold.
The kindness you're capable of.
And the little ways you bring warmth into the world.
Take one more comfortable breath in.
And slowly breathe out And whenever you're ready,
Gently return to the rest of your day.
And until next time,
Have a good one.
