Welcome to this meditation practice designed to fill your heart and soul with gratitude.
Sitting or laying comfortably,
Take a deep breath in through your nose and slowly release through your mouth.
Take another deep breath in through your nose and as you release slowly through your mouth,
Gently close your eyes if it's comfortable to do so.
Take another deep breath in through your nose and as you slowly release through your mouth,
Feel your body relaxing deeper and deeper into the surface.
Allow your breathing to flow naturally,
With every exhale creating space between your ears and your shoulders,
And your body becoming heavier and heavier into the surface.
Bring your attention to your heart center,
The joy that's flowing from your heart.
Oftentimes we forget to recognize the things around us and within us that brings us the greatest joy.
During this practice,
We will recall the things that we love the most and the things that we are most grateful for.
As you feel your body becoming weighted in the surface,
Feel the ground and the chair that's holding you up,
That's keeping you firm.
Feel the gratitude towards the surface that is there supporting you,
And imagine the light that's shining beneath you.
Visualize the people that you love the most and that are in your circle,
Those in your life that support you,
And feel the love that emanates from their being.
Feel their light fill you up with joy and gratitude,
For their love and their kindness.
Imagine the roof over your head and a storm on the outside.
The roof is protecting you from the elements of the weather,
And you are safe.
Feel the gratitude for the roof and the means that you have to support it.
Imagine preparing your favorite meal for the people you love,
And as you pay attention to every little detail,
Every little spice,
Every seasoning,
Every moment preparing that meal,
Feel each dish with love and gratitude for the talent to prepare and feed your family.
Visualize the faces of everyone in your life that you love and that is there to support you,
And acknowledge each face with a nod of gratitude,
Showing your appreciation,
Your love.
Now visualize yourself standing in front of a mirror.
See the reflection of yourself looking back at you.
As you look into the depths of your eyes,
Feel the love and the joy that fills your heart and your soul.
Think about the years that you've been on this earth and the journey your life has taken,
The ups and the downs,
The wins,
The losses,
Everything life has thrown at you.
Appreciate the lessons that all of those experiences have given you,
That have brought you to this point where you are today.
Feel the beam of light and love and joy fill you from the tips of your toes all the way to the crown of your head.
Feel the gratitude for all of the experiences and lessons that you have had throughout your life and the many more that are to come as you move forward.
Our experiences in life,
Good or bad,
Are things that we should be grateful for because in every experience there is a lesson of love,
A lesson of kindness,
A lesson of gratitude,
A lesson of joy,
And as you look back to your life's journey,
Express gratitude to yourself for carrying you through and making it to where you are today.
As you look at yourself in the mirror,
Feel the love for yourself,
The joy for who you are,
And the gratitude for being the light that you are.
As we bring this practice to a close,
Feel the energy and love of gratitude fill you from your toes all the way up to the crown of your head.
Carry this feeling of gratitude,
Love,
And joy with you for the rest of your day,
Shining,
Glowing,
And loving yourself and those around you.
When it is comfortable to do so,
Bring your attention back to your surface and where you are.
Gently open your eyes.
