All right you guys,
Welcome to your chill pill meditation.
You're not going to be here for too long,
But this is totally here for you to help release anything that's weighing heavy,
To help you relax,
To help you shake it off.
All you're going to need to do is find a chair.
Make sure it's sturdy enough for you to be sitting in and that you feel really,
Really,
Really supported.
And once you arrive in your seat,
Your palms will be face down in your lap,
And the soles of your feet will find a deep connection with the ground,
As the root of your seat in the chair acts as an anchor.
Grow taller through the crown of your head,
And the spine elongates,
Promoting space,
Sourcing center.
Sense the heaviness of your eyes and the eye sockets.
The vision softens fully.
Draw the breath up and in through the nose,
But keep the lips sealed as you exhale.
You're hunting for an ujjayi breath,
Ujjayi pranayama.
You're going to feel a little vibration in the back of the throat.
Your first couple rounds of breath are going to be just like this,
In through the nose and down and out of the nose.
You're going to really let and hunt for the sound of your exhale to help signal to the body that it can calm,
That it can release,
That it can self-soothe.
Press into the feet to sense the stable ground below you as that energy line of stability charges down and all the way up.
Feel the weight of your palms in your lap.
Bring your hands to your ribcage.
On your next inhale,
You're going to let the breath really fill the center of the palms.
That's how wide the breath is going to go.
Exhale,
Let the breath fall.
Slide your right hand over your heart,
Your left hand over the right,
Grounding down into your own energy.
See your wants,
Your needs,
Your fears,
Desires.
Everything's valid.
Everything is real.
Acknowledge them.
The breath brings your focus back to center and allows those feelings to bubble up to the surface.
Sense where in the body you're holding on to them and place your hands there.
Lengthen the thread of your breath.
The inhale is full.
The exhale is soft.
It's not only inviting in this warm sense of ease,
But it's also a ping of joy to remind you how radiant you are,
How much effort you put in,
All the things you do on the good days,
On the bad days.
The space that you take up in this world matters.
You matter.
The next exhale hits you like a wave and it's going to take all of those anxieties with it so that you're left with your breath,
Which connects you into the present moment.
Let the thoughts of the mind settle,
Smooth the edges of each and every single thought.
You have the option to stay here as long as you'd like and when you're ready,
You'll open your eyes.
