Hi,
I'm Dr.
Kim.
In this tutorial,
We're going to be using dry brushing to gently stimulate the lymphatic system and support the body's natural detoxification processes.
The lymphatic system is a network of vessels and lymph nodes that help to remove waste,
Excess fluid,
Toxins,
And cellular debris from the body,
Whilst also playing an important role in immune function.
Unlike the circulatory system,
The lymphatic system doesn't have a pump.
So it relies on movement,
Breathing,
And muscle contractions to keep the fluid moving.
Dry brushing is a simple practice that uses a natural bristle brush on dry skin to encourage circulation,
Support lymphatic flow,
And gently exfoliate the skin.
Many people find it helps reduce feelings of puffiness.
Improves skin texture,
Increases body awareness.
And leaves them feeling energized and refreshed.
I look forward to the invigorating sensation on my skin,
And it's become one of my favorite parts of my self-care routine.
Let me show you how to dry brush for lymphatic drainage.
Dry brushing is best done right before you step into the shower on dry skin.
I begin with my upper body.
First you want to open up the lymph nodes in the underarms.
Arms crossed.
And massaging through these lymph nodes.
After this,
Take your dry brush and starting from the hands.
Start to brush in short strokes.
Up towards the heart always.
The sensation.
It runs that fine line between pain and pleasure.
The brush is.
Quite dense and prickly.
And as I come up,
To the upper arm area.
Raise up the arm.
And then I go from the traps and neck and brush down.
Into the chest.
And then through the front of the chest.
Brushing outwards.
Towards the lint nodes.
Same thing on the other side.
Brushing up through the hands and palms using short strokes.
And raising the arm up.
I've found that dry brushing has really helped me clear up any little bumps and closed pores.
On my skin.
Brushing.
On your chest.
Next I move on to the abdomen and the lower body.
Just like the top half of the body.
I start with massaging the lymph nodes.
That are in the Inguinal region.
These lymph nodes lie right in that crease.
Where your thigh meets your torso.
On the abdomen.
We move in a clockwise direction.
Following the flow of digestion.
Same as before.
We do short.
I'm not going to brush over my workout clothes.
As you would ideally be fully naked.
Whilst doing this practice.
So after I've done that clockwise motion.
I then Pull from the back.
Into the front.
To really focusing on the waist area.
Same with the other side.
Then moving on to the legs.
Start from the feet.
Brushing upwards towards the heart.
Short strokes.
I would usually be standing up doing this.
And moving onto your butt.
And again,
Sweeping back and around to the front.
Directing the lymphatic fluid into the lymph node.
And I do swap hands to do the left side.
Always good to keep things balanced in the body.
And now sweeping from your butt.
Over to the front of the human.
Then I simply hop into the shower,
Do everything as usual,
And afterwards I apply coconut oil all over my body to really lock in the moisture.
For me,
I could feel differences in my skin texture from day one.
Have you tried dry brushing?
Please let me know in your review.
Thank you so much for watching.
