Hi,

I'm Dr.

Kim.

I specialize in using somatic movement,

Emotional release and meditation to support the healing of physical challenges.

Today's meditation is designed to help ease constipation by relaxing your mind and body,

Releasing tension in your abdominal area and supporting your body's natural rhythm of digestion.

Constipation can feel frustrating,

Uncomfortable and even painful.

It's a common issue caused by many factors including stress,

Poor digestion,

Dehydration or dietary habits.

However,

What's often overlooked is the powerful connection between your mind,

Body and gut.

When we're stressed,

Our bodies activate the fight-or-flight response which slows down digestion.

When you're running away from danger,

The last thing you want to do is go to the bathroom.

Tension in the abdomen,

Emotional stress and even holding on to thoughts or emotions can contribute to sluggish bowels.

This meditation will guide you through relaxation techniques,

Visualization and breath work to release tension,

Calm your nervous system and gently stimulate your digestive system.

This practice is best repeated every day for one week.

Find a quiet,

Comfortable space where you can sit or lie down without distractions and let's begin.

Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose.

Hold.

Now gently exhale through your mouth.

Continue breathing as so.

Feel your body settle into the surface beneath you.

Notice the weight of your body being fully supported.

Another deep breath in.

Hold.

And let it out slowly through your mouth.

With each exhale,

Let go of tension in your shoulders,

Your jaw,

Your chest and your stomach.

Now bring your awareness to your belly.

Without judgment,

Notice how it feels.

Tight?

Bloated?

Heavy?

Simply acknowledge it.

Let's take a moment to soften this area.

Rub your hands together to cultivate your chi or life force energy.

Feel the warmth and energy start to gather in your hands.

Take a deep breath in.

As you exhale,

Place both of your hands on your belly and imagine the energy and warmth spreading from your hands into your abdomen.

Breathe deeply and feel your belly soften under your hands.

Imagine your breath massaging your internal organs,

Creating space and movement in your digestive system.

Each breath brings relaxation and flow to your gut.

Now let's use the power of your mind to encourage healthy movement in your digestive system.

Imagine a gentle flowing river running through your abdomen.

See this river flowing smoothly,

Clearing away anything that feels stuck or stagnant.

It bubbles and flows with ease,

Bringing lightness,

Comfort and relief.

As you visualize this flowing river,

Silently repeat after me.

I let go.

I release.

I allow my digestion to flow.

I let go.

I release.

I allow my digestion to flow.

I let go.

I release.

I allow my digestion to flow.

Feel a sense of calm and trust as your body aligns with its natural rhythm.

Now let's bring some gentle awareness to your abdomen.

Keeping your hands on your belly,

Imagine the movement of your digestive system.

Your organs are arranged in a clockwise pattern.

You may picture soft waves or a large spiral,

Gently helping everything flow.

Start by applying pressure to your abdomen with your fingertips.

Move your fingers in small circles around your navel in a clockwise manner.

This motion mimics the natural direction of your digestion.

Breathe deeply as you massage,

Making your circles larger and larger.

Release any tension you feel in your belly.

If there is any gas that needs to be released,

Release it.

Shake out your hands.

As we begin to close this meditation,

Take a moment to thank your body for all it does.

Even when it feels stuck or uncomfortable,

It's always working to find balance.

Repeat silently or out loud,

My body knows how to heal and flow.

I release all tension and let go with ease.

I trust my body to take care of me.

When you're ready,

Bring your awareness back to the space around you.

Wiggle your fingers and toes.

Thank you for joining me in this meditation.

Remember,

Your mind and body are deeply connected,

And by supporting one,

You're helping the other.

Be gentle with yourself.

Stay hydrated.

Take your magnesium and give your body the time and care it needs to release.

I hope this meditation brings you relief and peace.

Repeat it every day for a week to get the best results.
