I invite you to close your eyes.

Feel into the elements in your body that give you life.

You are mostly made up of oxygen,

Carbon,

Hydrogen,

And nitrogen.

The elements that make up your body have been traveling from one form to the next for billions of years.

And now they have come together to give you life,

To give you breath,

To give you a physical form.

And these elements come from a special place.

Billions of years ago,

Before there were planets,

The universe consisted of hydrogen and helium that came together to form stars.

Some of these stars,

Called supernovas,

Spend their lives transforming one element into another.

They start by fusing hydrogen into helium.

When they run out of hydrogen to burn,

They start fusing the helium into carbon,

Transforming one element to the next until they have fused the final element into iron,

Which has no energy to release.

The star has nothing left to burn.

In one of the most destructive acts in the universe,

The supernova implodes,

Scattering all of the elements into the universe.

Through its demise,

The elements that now make up your very being are born into existence.

This is simultaneously one of the most destructive and creative acts in the universe.

If supernovas didn't die,

We wouldn't be here today.

Neither would the rest of life or the Earth we call home.

We live in a time of great destruction.

As we see our environment under threat,

It's easy to think we're facing the end of it all.

But it's important to remember that through the end of one thing,

Another is born.

Just as the death of a supernova allowed for the creation of all the elements that give us life,

The current global transformation we're experiencing will lead to the birth of something new,

Potentially something much greater.

I invite you to wonder,

What's trying to be born?

What is the Earth trying to create through the end of what has been?

It's all too easy to give up in the face of mass destruction,

But we have a rare opportunity as humans.

Our conscious awareness gives us the power to intentionally participate in this creative process.

Move personally and collectively.

Turn your attention inward and see what is trying to be born inside of you,

If you could just let the old ways of being die.

Collectively,

What do we need to let go of in order to make room for something new?

Something beyond our wildest imaginations?

It's calling.

Deep in the depths of your core.

All you have to do is listen.

All you have to do is listen.

Once again amazing. I was recently trying to explain to my 6 year old niece who is obsessed with space that we all all made of stars. I thin love I will have her listen to this instead. Namaste 🙏
