Squinting For Certainty
by Heidi Escoto
Sometimes anxiety feels like mentally leaning into tomorrow...hoping clarity will finally appear if you just keep searching farther ahead. But the harder the mind squints for certainty, the tighter the body becomes. This meditation explores the experience of anxious expectation - the mental habit of rehearsing the future while life is still asking you to be here now. Through grounding body awareness and gentle nervous system softening, you'll practice stepping out of prediction and back into presence. Not by forcing certainty...but by loosening the grip of needing it. A reflective meditation for overthinking, anticipatory anxiety, mental tension, nervous system regulation, and learning how to rest without having everything figured out.
