Transcript

Welcome to your guided meditation for awareness and illumination.

Take a few moments to ensure that you will not be disturbed during our time together.

Release any need to continue to do and find a comfy space to settle in.

You can start seated if that feels best,

Or even lie down,

Propping yourself up with pillows and maybe a blanket.

Pause and comb through your body,

Noticing any areas of tension,

Stress,

Or stuck energy.

Then start to turn on the breath.

Hold deep inhales into those spaces of the body that need it the most.

The nooks and corners that we don't always navigate to during our day to day.

Then take a few audible exhales.

It can be any exhale you wish.

A sigh.

A yawn.

Just something that allows you to release the day,

The week,

Maybe even the month.

Relax all the muscles of the face,

The space between the brows all across the forehead.

Maybe take a few moments to massage that space with your index and middle finger to decrease tension,

Taking some circular motions all across the forehead and over the eyebrows until you feel some release.

Begin and close your mouth a few times to free up any tightness in the jaw.

Part the teeth and continue taking a few more natural breaths,

Nice and slow,

Allowing the whole body to start softening and relaxing.

Draw awareness to your belly and feel it expand with your breath.

Continue the breath expanding up through the sides of the ribs and into the chest.

Slowly exhale and sink deeper into the space that you're in,

Into this present moment.

Take a few more deep breaths like this.

Spread into the fingers and toes.

Relax your whole physical body and then release every part.

Do this a few times so that eventually it becomes like a puddle,

Draping over the entire surface you're occupying.

Take another comb through the body to feel for any additional areas of stress,

Worries or judgments.

If you notice something,

Approach it with compassion and send your breath to those spots yet again.

Allow the breath to wash over you,

Knowing that this space is safe for you to let go.

Keep breathing in through your whole entire body,

Drawing out all the pieces that don't belong during this present time,

Continuing to let go until you feel your body becoming as light as a feather.

Those thoughts come and go as you travel through this meditation.

Acknowledge them as they are and feel a comfort in knowing that you can release those thoughts back into space and draw your attention back to your breath.

Now start to visualize yourself in a vast field.

The sky overhead is a deep blue.

You've never seen a sky this rich in color before.

There are wild flowers scattered throughout and you take a moment to sit down in the lush grass to take in all that is surrounding you.

The sun shines warmly on your skin as you observe passing clouds above.

The air is clean and you feel it brush across your skin.

You allow your eyes to drift closed and invite all of your senses to experience this environment.

As you continue to sit and draw into your awareness,

You start to hear a soft beat off in the distance.

It starts to draw closer until you realize that the rhythm you hear is the flapping of wings.

You open your eyes to see a beautiful eagle soaring through the air and headed your way.

You observe the way it seems to float effortlessly through the sky,

Rising high and then low riding the wind.

You feel a connection to the eagle as its wings powerfully pass through clouds gliding over the landscape.

The sight of this mighty creature causes you to pause and observe the things in your life from a higher perspective.

It gives you a sense of sovereignty,

Looking at situations from the sharper eyes of an eagle to illuminate truths,

Awareness,

And to aim higher than what you think you're capable of.

The eagle,

Symbolizing new beginnings,

Gives you the courage to take flight towards that which may be unknown,

Giving you the vision to take in as much as you can.

Your eyes close once again as you continue to hear the beat of the eagle's mighty wings across the sky.

The sound softly disappears and when you open your eyes again,

The eagle is standing before you.

His eyes stare deeply into yours,

But you don't feel afraid.

His eyes are full of wisdom and possibility.

He approaches you a little closer and you feel its feathers brush against your now extended hand.

The eagle is looking to impart his gifts to you,

That spirit of freedom,

Strength,

Adventure,

And clear understanding.

There is no more tension or stress to feel at this time,

Just pure vibrancy.

You feel a lightness to your entire body and realize that the ground is starting to fall away as the eagle begins to take flight and wraps you up as you start to fly with him,

Feeling that freedom of flight and how it feels to use your entire being to soar through the wind,

Changing directions with ease.

You start to connect and harmonize with everything.

You hear the whispering of the wind,

Feel it course through your entire body.

Your attention increases and you realize that you can feel and experience so much possibility just by being aware.

The sky is limitless.

You have so much ahead and around you to explore.

Give yourself this freedom.

You see the green grass below,

The mountain tops far ahead,

And blue water sparkling under the sunshine.

All the details become clearer and clearer as you continue to soar through the clouds.

Ask the eagle for clarity and to illuminate on anything that is still shrouded in fog.

Take an inhale breath and start to connect with his wisdom and the wisdom of the universe.

Taking a few deep breaths,

You start to feel the eagle slowly descend to bring you back to the space in the field that you were seated in.

You gaze into the eagle's eyes and slowly bow your head in gratitude for all that he has shown you.

He spreads his wings and jumps to the skies,

Disappearing.

As you lie back,

You gaze up towards the blue skies and watch as the clouds form into pictures of where you see yourself heading now that you have the eagle's knowledge and understanding.

You have the power to tap into this insight at any time.

Closing your eyes,

You start to feel the grass turn into the softness of the surface you originally started on.

You're back into this present space,

Back with all the information needed to guide you forward.

Drawing your awareness back to your breath,

Back to your physical body,

Focus again on the inhales and exhales,

Still feeling the warm comfort of the eagle's wings against you,

Remembering the freedom in flight.

If you choose,

You can slowly allow yourself to rise and continue on with your day,

Or you can start to let the feeling of slumber drop down from the top of your head and wash over your entire body.

Draw yourself deeper down into the cocoon of relaxation,

Inviting the nourishment of rest to take over,

Sinking further and further down into whatever is supporting you.

All that doesn't belong has been released and you are at full relaxation.

There is nothing else that you need to bring your attention to.

Just allow your body to sink down towards sleep.
