Hi,
I'm Linda Chow.
Today,
I'll guide you through this calm meditation.
We'll begin with a brave talk,
Then drift into a guided meditation.
Your part of me wants to keep everything close.
As if by keeping all the things on my knee next day,
Neatly placed at my bedside table,
Planting my calendar down to the year end,
My life could turn out just the way I expected.
Your part of me is anxiously longing to get to where I'm going,
As if the very presence of now is a means to the end.
Human relationship becomes secondary,
As it is valued by the material gain.
How much I'll get out of the time I invest in?
Who is worth my time to cultivate relationship?
Somehow,
It only happens if it helps me to get to where I'm going.
I control,
Calculate,
Judge,
Ignore.
As if by keeping everything close,
Fear in plain sight,
I can somehow prevent me from failing.
In fact,
The very act of doing so is resulting in a place I'm trying to avoid.
Then I ask myself,
Is it really worth my suffering?
Is the price I'm paying is worth my one precious life?
And there's inner voice saying,
Dear one,
Let go.
Let go of the grasp and pass hurt from still belief of controlling.
The universe can self-organize.
Just like Andrew doesn't need to worry about how to become a baby,
Mouse don't need to worry about how to blossom.
There is a divine spirit,
Higher intelligence,
Inner source of wisdom within us,
That will naturally attract abundance to form the most gorgeous life.
But take peace and trust in its unfolding that will soon come.
Fear is useless.
Trust,
However,
Is paramount.
Close your eyes now.
Take a deep breath in.
Take a moment to consciously tune your awareness inward.
Feel your leg solid,
Your back strong and tall.
It's supporting you.
Let yourself be receptive.
Notice how you feel inside today.
Take it all in.
Knowing whatever you feel,
Whatever you find,
Is all okay.
Notice if there's any tension or grasp that you're holding on to.
Take a moment to embrace it.
On your next inhale,
Say silently to yourself,
I am love.
As you exhale,
I am peace.
Inhale,
I am love.
Exhale,
I am peace.
Stay with this mantra,
Inviting strength to expand within you.
Setting the intention to move forward with loving and acceptance.
I often over-analyze the future based on past hurts and quantages.
But in fact,
Its very fearful presence leads me to fearful actions.
I then move from a place of seeking safety by controlling,
Feeling disconnected,
Worrying about the outcome.
And that disconnection with my inner source will often come back to me as anxiety and depression.
Then I ask myself,
Is it really worth my suffering?
Is the price I'm paying really worth my one precious life?
Sacrificing growth for safety,
Sacrificing happiness for productivity,
Sacrificing inner peace,
Authenticity for all world approval,
Sacrificing human connection for worldly success.
Take a moment to connect with your heart,
Your inner source,
Where the fears and love reside.
Let yourself move into that fear.
Embrace it with loving and acceptance.
Knowing we all fail,
We all make mistakes,
We all have time where things doesn't go as planned.
In moments of doubt,
In moments of difficulty,
In those moments where what if fills you up,
You can always come back to this mantra.
I am love,
I am peace.
The most beautiful journey is in the detour.
Life is a journey of growth.
Take a moment to reconnect with your breath,
Your anger.
That sensation of aliveness,
Just tuning in.
On your next inhale,
Place your hands to your heart,
Say silently to yourself,
I gave you permission to let go.
Let go of expectation.
Let go of perfection.
Let go of fear.
Let go of controlling.
On your next inhale,
Say silently to yourself,
I gave you permission to love.
To love all it means to be human.
To feel,
To feel,
To have emotions.
To love all my senses,
My mind,
My body.
To love with its beating heart.
Take a moment to reconnect with your breath,
Your alpha,
The rise and fall of your belly and your chest.
Notice how easy it feels now with this little shift in perspective.
On your next inhale,
Say silently to yourself,
Your one precious life is happening right now and it's worth living.
Thank you so much for practicing this calm through letting go meditation.
I am Linda Chow.
Take care,
Until next time.
