This is a 10 minutes courage meditation I got for you all today.
Meditation is a wonderful way to connect to yourself,
To even shift your state of mind by planting seeds towards a desire state.
In today's meditation,
We'll practice a mantra,
Which is help cultivate courage from within.
So set yourself up in a comfortable position,
Elevate your seat high enough that your legs able to release downward,
And your spine can lift up nice and tall with a feeling of ease.
If at any point during this meditation you need to make any shift or adjustment to stay comfortable,
You're always welcome to do so.
Whenever you're ready,
Go ahead and close your eyes.
Gaze softly down your nose at one point that's not moving and we'll get started.
Take a few moments to consciously turn your awareness inward.
Let yourself land in the safety and the strength of your own body,
Your own container.
Feel your legs rooted solid underneath you.
Feel your back strong and tall,
Supporting you,
Holding you up,
Allowing for your front to be soft and receptive.
Notice how you feel inside today.
Take it all in and know that however you feel,
Whatever you find is all okay.
Courage is not the absence of fear,
It's not the absence of difficulty or doubt.
It's the ability to feel all those things,
To acknowledge them but to move forward anyway.
To not let them stop you is perfectly natural for nerve to arrive,
For fears to arrive.
We can let those feelings be the passenger instead of the driver.
Sometimes all it takes is a little shift in perspective.
On your next inhale,
Say silently to yourself,
I am strong.
As you exhale,
I am courageous.
Inhale,
I am strong.
Exhale,
I am courageous.
Stay with this mantra and with your own breath,
Inviting your own strength to expand within you,
Sending it out into the space around you,
Setting the intention to take action,
To move forward into courage.
As you breathe here,
Setting your attention on your own strengths and courage,
Know that others are doing the very same thing.
In moments of doubt,
In moments of difficulty,
In those moments where what if fill you up,
You can always come back to this mantra.
You can always know that you are not alone in having these feelings.
As you tap into your own strengths,
You can tap into the communal strength.
We all struggle.
We all fail.
We all fail.
We can all get back up too.
We can all cheer each other on.
In your next few rounds of breath,
You take within this mantra,
Send out your own inner strength and your own courage to someone outside of yourself.
Stay with this connection,
The strength and courage you've opened up and send it out into the world.
Start to feel yourself in the space around you.
Really a strong,
Strong back,
Rooted legs to your open receptive front.
All that lets you smoothly from your eyelids open and re-enter the world.
I'm Linda Chiang.
Thank you so much for being here today.
Until next time,
Stay courageous.
