Welcome to this Summer Solstice Guided Yoga Nidra.
I'm Catherine and I'll be your guide today.
Let's start by finding a comfortable resting position.
This can be on your bed.
Or on your yoga mat.
And just allow your body to settle into the support beneath you.
Making any adjustments.
To your blanket.
Your clothing or your position so that you feel cared for and fully supported.
Let the Earth receive your weight.
And remember you do not need to hold yourself up right now.
You do not need to carry anything.
And for this moment you are fully supported.
Allow your eyes to gently close.
And gently bring your awareness to your breath.
Begin to notice the inhale arriving.
And notice the exhale.
Releasing Nothing needs to be changed or forced.
You're simply just noticing.
That you are here now.
And feel again the support beneath you.
The Earth is steady.
The Earth is patient.
The earth is nourishing.
With every exhale.
Allow yourself to soften deeper.
Relax your forehead.
Soften the jaw.
Release the shoulders.
And just allow the heart space to open.
Relax the belly.
Here you are safe to rest.
Now we'll move into our Sankalpa.
Planting your summer solstice intention.
We'll start by bringing your awareness to the heart center.
And just imagine it.
As a gentle glowing light.
A warm compassionate light.
The light of your own presence.
The summer solstice reminds us of fullness.
Of abundance.
Of the sun reaching its highest point.
Of nature blooming after a season.
Quiet growth.
Feel the same wisdom within yourself.
Your own inner light your own inner knowing.
And allow a loving intention to arise,
A simple seed.
Perhaps.
The seed of the intention.
That you are worthy of receiving.
Or perhaps that you trust your own unfolding.
For welcoming warmth and renewal.
Or allowing yourself to bloom in your own time.
And just choose your own words.
Repeating your sankalpa silently three times to yourself.
And now let your intention settle deeply like a seed resting in fertile soil.
Now we'll begin to rotate.
Our whole body awareness.
A rotation of consciousness.
Bringing your awareness to your right hand.
Moving to the right thumb.
Second finger.
Third finger.
Orrath anger.
Little finger.
Now moving your awareness to the palm of your hand.
Back of the hand.
Rest.
Forearm.
Into the elbow.
Your upper arm.
Into the shoulder.
Moving now into the right side of your chest ribs.
Waste.
Your head.
Sigh Me.
And to the ankle.
Yield.
The sole of your foot.
Top of your foot.
Big toe.
Second toe.
Their toe.
And your little toe.
And now,
Gently.
Move your awareness.
To your left side.
Left thumb.
Back and finger.
Third finger.
Fourth finger.
And into your little finger.
Now into the palm of your left hand.
Back of the hand.
Rest.
Boron.
Elbow.
Moving into your upper arm.
And shoulder.
Now move your awareness into the left side chest.
Your ribs.
The left side waist.
And to the hip Bye.
Into your knee.
Left calf.
Ankle eel.
And down into the sole of your foot.
And to the top of the foot.
Left big toe.
Second toe.
Third.
Birth channel.
And into your little toe.
Now move your awareness.
To the back body.
Back of your head.
Into the shoulder blades.
Bye.
Lower back.
Pelvis.
Down the backs of your legs.
All the way down into the heels of your feet.
And then moving your awareness to the front body.
Into the crown of your head.
Or hat.
Eyes.
Cheeks.
Shalom.
Solar plexus.
And your belly.
Becoming aware of your whole body now.
Your whole body.
Your whole body.
You are held.
You are supported.
Now we'll move into breath awareness bringing your attention now.
To your natural breath.
Feeling the gentle rise and fall.
And imagining each inhale drawing in.
Golden sunlight.
Soft.
One and nourishing.
The light moves through your body.
Bringing ease and comfort.
And now shift your awareness.
To the solar plexus.
The center of your inner fire.
And imagine a small golden sun.
Glowing there.
This golden sun does not burn.
It nourishes and restores.
With each inhale,
You receive light.
And with each exhale.
You release what is complete.
Pausing here.
Now to let yourself be replenished.
Basking in your inner light.
Now moving into the experience of opposites beginning with warmth.
Begin to feel the warmth of sunlight.
Feeling sun warming the body.
Now feeling coolness.
Like a breeze through the trees.
Shade or fresh water.
A cooling breeze throughout the body.
Warmth and coolness are both welcome here.
Now.
Imagine expansion.
A very wide sky.
Like an expansive open heart.
And now.
Moving towards resting inward.
Like a seed beneath the earth.
Expansion.
And resting inward.
Growth and rest.
Might and darkness.
Giving and receiving.
All belong.
You are witness to it all.
Now begin to imagine yourself.
Walking through a beautiful summer garden.
The sun as I above you.
The Earth is alive.
Beautiful flowers are blooming.
And the trees are reaching towards the light of the sun.
Everything is unfolding naturally.
The flower does not rush.
The tree does not compare.
The garden grows.
In its own perfect rhythm.
Find a peaceful place in this garden.
A place where you can feel the warmth of the sun.
And feel the earth supporting you.
You are surrounded by golden light.
And ask gently.
What within.
Is ready to bloom.
What am I ready to receive?
What can I lovingly release?
And imagine placing anything heavy.
And giving it into the sunlight.
Let it soften and let it transform.
You are becoming lighter.
Clearer and more aligned.
Now we'll begin to bring awareness.
Back to your heart.
Feel your inner sun glowing.
And repeat your sankalpa now three times.
And trust the seed that you have planted.
Begin to notice your body.
And the surface beneath you.
The room around you and your breath deepening.
And now slowly move your fingers and toes.
Rotating wrists perhaps.
And if you'd like,
Stretching gently.
Taking your time.
And when you feel ready,
Feel free to roll onto your side and just rest there for a moment.
Again,
Taking your time when you're ready.
Slowly rise to a seated position.
And if you feel cold bringing your hands together to your heart center.
To Anjali Mutra.
Honor yourself.
Honor your journey.
And honor the light within you.
The practice of Yoga Nidra is now complete.
Om Shanti Shanti Shanti.
Aum,
Peace,
Peace,
Peace.
Be with you today.
May you be happy.
May you be healthy.
May you be safe.
May you live with ease.
And enjoy this summer solstice.
Thank you for joining me today.
And I'll see you again soon.
