With all the conflict and judgment in the world,

What if healing the world begins with forgiving ourselves?

Breathe in deeply,

And exhale slowly.

Feel a wave of calm enter at the crown of your head,

And move down through your scalp and face,

Neck,

Shoulders,

Arms and chest,

Stomach,

Back and hips,

Legs and feet.

What does forgiveness look like and feel like?

Just take a moment to get in touch with any self-judgment you carry.

Where does it come from?

Acknowledge any harm caused.

Without defensiveness or blame,

Just witness it.

For a few moments,

Feel any regret you need to feel.

Perfection is not attainable,

Nor is it expected of us.

So take a deep breath in,

And as you breathe out,

Just relax into the forgiving embrace of the universe.

Let your regret begin to melt away,

Float away,

And dissolve.

Feel your heart softening and becoming tender toward yourself.

Feel your whole body enveloped by forgiveness.

As you determine to continue doing your best in this life,

Ask yourself if there is anything you want to do differently moving forward.

You can discern from a place of love without harsh judgments.

With this burden lifted from your shoulders,

See yourself now moving freely in the world,

Sending love to yourself and everyone you encounter.

Spend some time now in forgiveness and love.

When we are rooted in self-forgiveness and love,

We naturally release judgment of and forgive others.

When we share our practice of self-forgiveness with others,

We spread the healing that is needed in our world.

May your day be filled with love.
