This guided meditation helps you drift off into sleep quickly for a brief power nap. Soft, relaxing music accompanies a 5-minute deep relaxation total body scan. The music continues for 20 additional minutes as you sleep. Then, a bell and gentle words awaken you so you can return to your day refreshed and energized.

With your eyes closed and ready to drift off for a 20-minute nap,

Take a deep breath in and breathe out.

Breathing deeply signals the body to relax.

Once again,

Breathe in and breathe out.

Feel your body sink deeply into the surface supporting you.

In this peaceful place,

You are ready to release,

Relax,

And drift into peaceful sleep.

Begin to feel peaceful relaxation arise at the crown of your head.

Allow deep and comforting relaxation to spread from your crown across your scalp,

Covering and soothing your entire scalp.

Feel deep relaxation drift gently into your forehead,

Eyes,

Cheeks,

Mouth,

And jaw.

Now feel relaxation drift into your neck and down into your shoulders.

Feel the muscles of your shoulders soften and release.

Feel relaxation drift into your arms,

Down to the elbows,

Wrists,

Hands,

And fingers.

Feel peaceful relaxation drift into your chest and upper back.

Feel deep relaxation ease into your stomach,

Abdomen,

And lower back.

Feel the heaviness of your core as every aspect softens and relaxes into deep and soothing calm.

Take another deep breath in and out as you feel deepest relaxation embrace and soothe your hips as they relax and sink deeper into the surface supporting you.

Now feel comfortable,

Peaceful relaxation move into your thighs and drift slowly down through your knees,

Calves,

Ankles,

Feet,

And toes.

Feel your entire body now enveloped in a deepest peaceful relaxation from the top of your head all the way down to your toes.

Feel the heaviness of all parts of your body as you sink even deeper into peaceful relaxation.

Even as your body feels heavy,

You may begin at the same time to feel a sense of lightness,

Floating,

Drifting.

As you feel lighter and lighter,

You are drifting deeper and deeper.

Welcome the tranquility of drifting closer and closer into peaceful sleep.

Hi there,

It's time to welcome movement into your body again.

Stretch,

Blink open your eyes,

And return to your day refreshed and energized for whatever comes next.
