In collaboration with Christopher Ifeloluwa, Sacred River draws on the Yoruba tradition of viewing rivers as vital providers of life and renewal. The track blends ÌBÀ drums from Badagry with the shekere and the Igbo "udu"—a clay pot drum that uses air to create a resonant, water-like pulse. The philosophy here is simple: a river is a constant flow that never stagnates. In this "mind game," we use the rhythm as a current for your attention. Instead of trying to force your thoughts to stop, you let them move like the water—fluid and continuous. It is a humble invitation to find a natural pace for your meditation, using these traditional instruments to ensure your focus stays in motion rather than getting "stuck." Drums & Rhythmic (rhythm): When your mind is racing, these steady, traditional beats act as your anchor. The rhythm gives your wandering attention something solid to hold onto, keeping you grounded in the "here and now."
