You I I discovered the Buddhist prayer of forgiveness a number of years ago Each time I come back to it,
I marvel at its simplicity and the all-encompassing nature of the words.
I find it to be a useful prayer in times of struggle in any given situation.
It is a universal truth that is applicable in all situations.
I'll read it to you now.
There will be some time to ponder the words.
Then near the end of this meditation,
I will read them again for you,
Anchoring them into your day.
The Buddhist prayer of forgiveness.
If I have harmed anyone in any way,
Either knowingly or unknowingly,
Through my own confusions,
I ask for their forgiveness.
If I have harmed anyone in any way,
Either knowingly or unknowingly,
Through their own confusions,
I forgive them.
If anyone has harmed me in any way,
Either knowingly or unknowingly,
Through their own confusions,
I forgive them.
And if there is a situation that I am not yet ready to forgive,
I forgive myself for that.
For all the ways I harm myself negate,
Doubt,
Belittle myself,
Judge or be unkind to myself through my own confusions,
I forgive myself.
I forgive myself.
I forgive myself.
I forgive myself.
If I have harmed anyone in any way,
Either knowingly or unknowingly,
Through my own confusions,
I ask for their forgiveness.
If anyone has harmed me in any way,
Either knowingly or unknowingly,
Through their own confusions,
I forgive them.
And if there is a situation that I am not yet ready to forgive,
I forgive myself for that.
For all the ways I harm myself negate,
Doubt,
Belittle myself,
Judge or be unkind to myself through my own confusions,
I forgive myself.
I forgive myself.
I forgive myself.
I forgive myself.
