Welcome to your Waxing Crescent meditation.
Before we get into our meditation,
We're just going to briefly discuss what exactly is the Waxing Crescent Moon and the energetics so that we may better connect with that.
So half of the Moon's surface is always illuminated by the Sun.
However,
As the Moon orbits the Earth,
The sunlit portion that can be observed varies throughout the course of the month as the Moon moves around us.
So you're now in the second of the eight phases,
Waxing Crescent.
The Moon waxes as it moves towards the full Moon and wanes as it moves back towards the end of the cycle to being again at the new Moon.
This part of the cycle is known as one of the intermediate Moon phases.
The next milestone or major phase,
Which is a primary phase,
Is the first quarter.
Waxing Crescents are not shown on Moon calendars frequently for that reason,
Because they're so minor,
But still important.
The shape of the Waxing Crescent is known as a sickle shape.
And during the Waxing Crescent phase,
The rest of the Moon is actually sometimes faintly visible,
Especially around springtime.
And this visibility or glow is called Earthshine or Da Vinci glow,
As Leonardo Da Vinci was the first recorded person to explain this phenomenon.
And moving on to what we're really interested in for our meditation is the energetics of this Waxing Crescent phase,
The energy that's in the air right now.
And this energy is calling on us to prepare our inner selves for any intentions or manifestations that we set on the new Moon or that we even just have on our hearts to come to fruition through self-care,
Planning,
Sending hopes and desires out to the universe and practicing self-confidence.
So take a moment now to think about what you can do in the next few days before the phase moves on.
In each of these four areas or pillars,
Self-care,
Planning,
Sending hopes and desires out into the universe and practicing self-confidence.
Let's take some deep breaths to ground ourselves here before we go any further.
So we're going to be breathing in for six and counting out for 10 for three rounds of breath.
So get ready to take a big inhale for six counts.
Inhale.
And slowly out for 10.
Inhale for six.
Exhale for 10.
Inhale for six.
Exhale for 10.
So we are contemplating those four pillars,
Self-care,
Planning,
Sending hopes and desires out into the universe and practicing self-confidence.
Think about what you can incorporate into your life over the next few days in the realm of self-care.
What practical steps can bring you closer to your manifestation or intention?
Can you take the time for some more meditation or affirmations to help you send your hopes and desires out into the universe?
And what can you do to increase your self-confidence?
So in our meditation now,
We are going to listen for soft whispers from the divine or from your own intuition.
So make sure you have come to a comfortable seat.
Any props that you need to help you feel fully supported here for the next few moments.
When you feel comfortable in your space,
Soften or close your eyes.
Tune into your breath,
Feeling it move through your body and in and out the nostrils.
Your mind's eye,
Focus on a bright healing,
Golden light at the top of your head.
This represents your crown chakra connecting you right now to divinity,
The universe and your higher self.
Pause here,
Keeping all of your attention on this white light.
Watch it expand 360 degrees,
Filling the room and beyond with its healing light.
Continuing in your mind to watch this light grow as it begins to expand up into the sky,
Moving through the clouds towards that waxing crescent moon and into the abyss,
Into the ether.
Keeping your light shining up into the universe,
Now ask your highest self,
God,
The divine,
The universe,
Whatever or whoever you believe in to send you any messages that you need to know right now.
Simply listening for any subtle whispers that might sound like your thoughts,
But may appear out of nowhere.
Ask yourself what you can do to support yourself at this time of intention and manifestation.
Listen for just another moment.
Take your time to come back into the physical body.
And keeping the eyes closed for now,
Bring the hands together into a prayer position and Anjali Mudra.
And bow forward,
Your forehead towards your fingertips with gratitude for any divine guidance you may have received today.
Open up the eyes.
I invite you to take a moment of reflection now or later on in the journal,
Any images,
Thoughts,
Feelings or sensations that may have arisen.
Namaste.
