Welcome,

Find a quiet,

Comfortable place where you won't be disturbed.

You may choose to sit or lie down,

Whichever feels most relaxing for you.

So close your eyes gently and take a moment to settle into your position.

Allow your body to begin to relax,

Releasing any tension you may be holding.

So let's begin by focusing on your breath.

Take a deep breath in through your nose,

Feeling your lungs fill completely,

Hold it just for a moment,

And then exhale slowly through your mouth,

Releasing any stress or tension with the breath.

So inhale deeply once more,

Drawing in calmness and peace,

And exhale slowly,

Letting go of any worries or distractions.

Now let's deepen your relaxation with a full body scan.

So bring your awareness to the top of your head.

Feel a warm,

Soothing sensation spreading across your scalp,

Easing any tightness away.

This gentle warmth flows down your forehead,

Smoothing away any tension,

Softening your eyes,

And relaxing your jaw.

Allow your tongue to rest comfortably in your mouth.

Feel this calming warmth move into your neck and your shoulders,

Melting away any stiffness there.

Your shoulders drop slightly as they release their burden.

The relaxation flows down your arms,

Into your elbows,

Your wrists,

And all the way to the tips of your fingers.

Your arms now feel heavy and very relaxed.

So now shift your attention to your chest and your belly.

With each breath,

Feel your chest expand gently,

And as you exhale,

Feel your body sinking deeper into relaxation.

The warm sensation moves down your spine,

Vertebrae by vertebrae,

Easing away any tension.

Your back now feels loose and very comfortable.

Now feel the warmth spread into your hips and pelvis,

Loosening and relaxing the muscles.

It flows into your thighs,

Soothing and calming.

The warmth continues down into your knees,

Your calves,

And your ankles.

Finally,

It reaches your feet and toes,

Releasing any remaining tension there.

Your legs feel heavy and grounded.

Your entire body is now enveloped in this warm,

Calming energy.

You are completely relaxed,

Grounded,

And at peace.

Your mind is open and receptive,

Ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery and insight.

So as you continue to breathe deeply and evenly,

Begin to visualize yourself standing in a serene and open space.

Now this could be a lush meadow bathed in the golden glow of the setting sun,

A quiet forest clearing surrounded by towering trees,

Or any place that feels peaceful and safe to you.

The air is fresh and carries a subtle fragrance that brings you comfort.

Feel the gentle breeze brushing against your skin,

The soft ground beneath your feet.

You are alone here,

Yet you feel connected to everything around you.

The whispering leaves,

The distant song of birds,

The soft rustle of nature embracing you.

In the midst of this tranquil setting,

You notice something shimmering in the distance.

As you walk closer,

You realize it's a mirror,

Standing freely,

Unsupported by any frame or wall.

It seems to have appeared just for you,

Its surface smooth and reflecting the surroundings perfectly.

The mirror exudes a subtle glow,

Inviting you to approach it.

As you stand before the mirror,

You expect to see your own reflection staring back,

But instead you see someone else,

A figure who resembles you in some ways,

But is distinctly different.

This is an alternate version of yourself,

Perhaps from a parallel universe,

Or even an ancient past.

Their eyes meet yours with a gaze that is both familiar and profoundly mysterious.

So take a moment to observe this alternative self.

Notice their appearance,

Their hairstyle,

The clothing they wear,

And even the way they hold themselves.

Perhaps they are dressed in garments from another era or culture,

Adorned with symbols and artifacts that intrigue you.

Maybe their eyes hold a depth of experience that hints at a life lived in different circumstances.

Observe their expressions and their mannerisms.

Do they smile gently at you,

Or do they hold a serious,

Contemplative gaze?

Notice the emotions conveyed in their eyes.

Are they filled with wisdom,

Compassion,

Curiosity,

Or perhaps even a hint of longing?

As you continue to gaze into the mirror,

You begin to sense a connection forming between you and this alternative self.

Thoughts and feelings start to flow between you,

Not in words spoken aloud,

But through a deep intuitive understanding.

It's as if you can hear their own thoughts,

And they can hear yours,

A telepathic exchange bridging the gap between your worlds.

So allow yourself to remain open to any messages or insights they may wish to share.

Perhaps they've learned lessons in their life that can help you in yours.

Maybe they've overcome challenges that you now face,

You may begin to receive images,

As you finish with the images,

Or even a feeling.

So accept this gift with gratitude,

Knowing it holds meaning and significance just for you.

It may be a token of wisdom,

A piece of advice,

Or a reminder of your inner strength.

So take a moment to reflect on what this gift represents,

Whilst I'm quiet for a moment.

Now consider if there's anything you wish to share with your alternate self.

Perhaps you have experiences or lessons that could benefit them.

So open your heart and mind and send those thoughts across the connection between you.

Feel the mutual exchange of understanding and compassion.

Recognize that this interaction enriches both of your lives,

Expanding your perspectives and deepening your self-awareness.

So as you continue this profound connection,

Notice the boundary between you and your alternate self begins to soften.

The mirror's surface shimmers gently and you feel a merging of energies.

The insights and qualities of your alternate self begin to integrate with your own being.

So feel the strength of their experiences blending with yours.

Their courage,

Wisdom,

Creativity,

Or whatever qualities stood out to you,

Allow these aspects to become a part of you,

Enhancing who you are and who you're becoming.

And at the same time,

Know that you've shared your own strength with them,

Contributing to their journey as well.

This mutual exchange creates a harmonious balance,

A unity between your souls across time and space.

And gradually,

The image in the mirror begins to fade.

Your alternate self gives you a final look,

A gaze filled with understanding and kinship.

They may offer a nod,

A smile,

Or another gesture of farewell.

Know that this connection remains within you,

Accessible whenever you seek it.

The mirror's surface returns to reflecting the serene surroundings.

As you look into it now,

You may catch a glimpse of yourself,

Not just as you appear outward,

But with the depth of all that you've integrated during this journey.

You step back from the mirror,

Feeling a sense of wholeness and renewed insights.

The mirror slowly dissolves,

Becoming one with the air,

Leaving only the tranquil environment all around you.

So take a moment to appreciate the beauty of this place.

Feel the ground beneath your feet,

Solid and very supportive.

Listen to the gentle sounds of nature,

The rustling of leaves,

And the distant bird songs.

Breathe in the fresh air,

Filling your lungs with vitality.

Begin to become aware of the connection between this serene place and your own inner landscape.

Recognize that the peace and clarity you feel here are always accessible within you.

You carry this sanctuary in your heart,

A place you can return to whenever you need guidance or comfort.

So when you're ready,

Gently start to bring your awareness back to your physical body.

Feel the surface beneath you,

The chair or bed supporting you.

Notice the weight of your body,

The sensation of your clothing against your skin.

Wiggle your fingers and toes now,

Slowly reintroducing movement back into the body.

Take a deep breath in,

Filling your lungs completely,

And exhale slowly.
