Welcome,
In this practice we're going to explore the still point,
A quiet space inside you that never moves,
Even when life feels chaotic.
So begin by finding a comfortable position.
Let the body rest.
Close your eyes now if you like.
Take a slow breath in through the nose,
And let it ease out through the mouth.
So again,
Inhale,
And then exhale.
With each breath,
The body begins to settle.
Now bring your awareness to the crown of your head.
Imagine a soft wave of relaxation washing down over your forehead.
The eyes,
The cheeks,
And the jaw.
And with every exhale,
These areas loosen,
They soften,
And they let go.
So bring that wave of relaxation down into your shoulders.
Let them drop away from your ears,
And let your arms hang heavy,
The hands open and still.
Notice the chest rising and falling.
Notice the belly gently expanding and releasing.
And with each exhale,
Imagine a deeper settling,
Like a stone sinking to the bottom of a clear pond.
Now,
Bring your focus to the breath itself.
Notice it enter,
And then notice it leave.
There's no effort,
There's no control,
Simply witnessing and watching.
The breath is the doorway into stillness.
Now thoughts may rise,
And that's natural,
But you don't have to chase them or push them away.
Imagine them like ripples on the surface of water,
Appearing,
Spreading,
And then fading.
Beneath the ripples,
The water is always still.
And now,
Bring your awareness below the thoughts,
Just drop beneath them,
Into the quiet space they arise from.
That silence is the still point,
The place inside you that never rushes,
It never struggles,
And never changes.
So rest there just for a moment,
Feel the calm that doesn't depend on circumstances.
Feel the peace that doesn't come and go.
It's already here,
Waiting for you to notice.
And if your mind wanders,
Well that's okay.
Each time,
Simply return to the breath,
Inhale,
And then exhale.
Dropping once more into the still point.
So let's stay here just for a few breaths,
Inhale gently,
And exhale slowly.
Each breath is a reminder of this silence beneath the noise.
In each breath,
A return to what has always been steady inside you.
Now imagine this still point as a soft light at the center of your chest.
When life feels chaotic,
This light never flickers,
And when thoughts race,
This light never wavers.
It is the anchor,
The core,
The unchanging ground of your being.
So take three deep breaths into this light now.
Inhale calm,
And exhale into stillness.
Inhale presence,
And exhale into stillness.
Inhale awareness,
And exhale into stillness.
Notice how the body feels now.
Notice how the mind feels.
Notice the quiet strength of knowing you can always return to.
And as you end this practice,
Carry this truth with you beneath every thought and beneath every storm.
The still point is always waiting.
So take one last deep breath in,
And a long slow exhale.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes now.
Bring this stillness with you into the rest of your day.
Namaste.
