Welcome,
Welcome to this new day.
Before the rush begins,
Before you step into the noise of the world,
Give yourself these few minutes to pause,
Breathe and set your intention.
So take a slow,
Steady breath in through the nose and let it ease out through the mouth.
So again,
In through the nose and then exhale through the mouth.
Let your body settle into this new beginning.
Notice that you've already done something powerful.
You've chosen to start your day with awareness,
And that choice matters.
So bring your attention first to your body.
Notice the way your chest rises and falls.
Notice the way your feet or your seat connect with the surface beneath you.
Feel the weight of the body,
Supported and grounded.
The earth is holding you as you begin again.
Now let's scan through the body,
Gently waking it up.
Bring awareness to the ground of your head.
Imagine a soft light there,
Spreading slowly down your forehead,
Around your eyes and across the cheeks and the jaw.
And just let those muscles soften.
And now breathe into your shoulders.
On the exhale,
Just let them drop a little more,
As if you put down a heavy bag.
Bring that awareness down through the arms,
The elbows,
And all the way to your fingertips.
Feel the life present there,
And notice the chest.
Each breath a reminder that you're alive,
That today is new.
And now notice your belly.
Allow it to soften.
And let that relaxation drift through your hips,
Into the thighs,
The knees,
The calves,
And all the way into the soles of your feet.
So take a deep breath in,
And on the exhale,
Imagine the whole body lighting up,
Refreshed and ready.
And now bring your attention to the breath again.
This time,
Imagine each inhale as the beginning of the day,
Fresh,
Open,
And full of possibility.
And each exhale as a gentle release of yesterday,
Letting go of old stress,
Old stories,
And old weight.
So inhale a new beginning,
And then exhale release.
So we'll repeat this together for a few rounds.
Breathing in new energy,
And breathing out,
Letting everything go.
Inhale a new beginning,
And exhale release.
And again,
Inhale,
And then exhale gently.
Now that the body is relaxed and the mind a little clearer,
Just ask yourself,
What is my intention today?
Not a list of tasks,
And not a heavy demand,
But a simple guiding thread.
It might be a word,
Peace,
Focus,
Or even patience.
It might even be a phrase,
I move with calm,
And I will listen deeply.
And whatever rises for you,
Just trust it,
And then let it come softly.
Once you've found your intention,
Breathe it in deeply,
And breathe it out as if sending it ahead into your day.
And again,
Breathe it in and let it fill you,
And then breathe it out.
And now visualize your day ahead just for a moment.
See yourself moving through it with this intention at your center.
And if it's peace,
See yourself staying calm even when things get loud.
And if it's patience,
See yourself breathing before reacting.
And if it's focus,
See yourself staying steady on what matters most.
Whatever your intention,
Imagine yourself embodying it naturally,
Without any strain.
Life will still happen,
The unexpected,
The chaotic,
And even the routine.
But you can carry this intention like a compass in your pocket.
Whenever you feel cold,
You can touch it again,
Breathe it again,
And remember it again.
So take one more deep breath in,
Hold it softly,
And then exhale with a sense of opening to this day.
Feel your body here,
Awake,
Alive,
And grounded.
Notice the clarity in your mind.
You have chosen how to begin your day.
And that choice will ripple through everything that you do.
And as you step into the day,
Carry this with you.
You are not just reaching to life,
You're shaping it,
Breath by breath,
Intention by intention.
Namaste.
