Welcome.

This is Wendy Reese Hartman.

Close your eyes.

Begin to follow the breath in and out of your body,

Allowing your awareness to go down to your heart center.

Imagine that you can go within your heart.

Rest in this place.

As you begin to welcome everything that comes to you today,

Know that it is for your healing.

Welcome all thoughts,

Feelings,

Emotions,

People,

Conditions and situations that may come to you today.

Be willing to let go of your desire for power and control.

Let go of your desire for affection.

Let go of your desire for esteem and approval.

Let go of your desire for pleasure.

Let go of your desire for survival and security.

Know in this moment that you are perfectly secure.

You are taken care of.

You are protected.

You are loved.

Let go of your desire to change any situation,

Condition,

Person or even yourself.

Open to the love that is within your heart with you right now.

The presence of the Divine.

Allow yourself to receive a deeper connection to that love as you let go and surrender into the peacefulness.

Rest here now.

Begin to deepen your breath,

Bringing your awareness back into your body,

Back into the room,

Carrying this sense of peace and welcoming with you throughout your day.

It is an honor and a pleasure to guide you.

Thank you.

Good rendition of the Welcoming Prayer. I always wish prayers like this didn't have an intro, I just want the Prayer... but if it has to have an intro this one is good. Will reuse frequently.

Beautifully done! Thank you. In response to reviewer Stephen - from Nebraska Contemplative Outreach: Mary Mrozowski formulated the Welcoming Prayer based on the 17th century French Spiritual classic “Abandonment to Divine Providence” by Jean-Pierre de Caussade, the teachings of Fr. Thomas Keating and her own lived experience of transformation with its underlying attitude of surrender.

Excellent succinct reminder that the way to nirvana is thru non-attachment. When my monkey mind is swinging from branch to branch, this helps me to touch the ground.

Thank you Wendy. This continues to be my most frequently enjoyed meditation. A welcome tool I use to triage bumps in my spiritual day.
