Welcome to episode 43.
This is Wendy Rees Hartman.
It is a little bit of a noisy morning.
We've got a beautiful day today and the geese are just going crazy outside on the river.
So maybe a little bit different sound quality here than normal.
Today's theme is binary thinking.
When it comes right down to it,
Every choice is rooted in love or absence of love,
Meaning fear,
Scarcity,
Grievance.
These are two sides to the same coin.
If you're looking at one side,
You do not see the other side.
You only see what you're looking at in the moment.
As my friend Denny always reminds me,
Your energy flows where your focus goes.
If you're looking at the world as a challenging,
Hard,
Violent,
Scary,
Cold place,
You miss all the good.
This is separation or sin.
The separation appears as problems,
Unexpected problems just as you think you've solved the previous problems and resolved problems that appear and disappear to haunt you.
The world is not bad.
People in the world are not bad.
Even those who do really horrific acts,
They're just hurt.
All the changes,
All the challenges,
All the fear,
The violence,
The coldness is rooted in separation and that causes pain.
The world and its inhabitants are hurting.
We have to begin to heal the hurt by eliminating the separation.
For many people,
This takes diligence,
Commitment,
And a whole lot of practice.
We will focus on this practice in our inspired action today.
Perhaps you can shift your perspective,
Effectively eliminating all your problems or maybe you plant a seed of possibilities for a better way to see the world and those in it.
And then with that diligence and commitment,
Start to water those seeds.
In either case,
There is a better way of living in this world and it starts with focus.
Begin to follow the breath as it moves in and out of your body,
Just observing it,
Noticing the quality of it.
And as you do this,
Begin to turn inward to that quiet place within you.
Allow yourself to think of a recent situation that was challenging,
Hurtful,
Confusing,
Or maybe all of the above.
Think about who was involved.
See if you can see all the parties,
Including yourself from an emotionally detached state.
These are just people who have had experiences in the past that drive their actions in the present.
They've been hurt and the hurt is still subconsciously impacting them.
Of all of these people,
Including yourself,
Were children who were hurt and crying.
Would you chide them or judge them about their feelings or would you offer them love?
Take a few moments to offer love to all parties in this situation you've identified.
No,
This does not excuse their behavior.
This is deeper than that behavior.
We're working on an energetic level here to transform this hurt.
Breathing in,
Say to yourself,
I see you.
Breathing out,
Say to yourself,
I send you love.
And repeat this for the next six breaths.
Today,
Allow miracles to replace grievances.
Are you willing to see people as is?
Be willing to send them love?
Are you willing to release any grievances around the situation that you identified?
If so,
Allow the peace of your acceptance to be received through the entirety of your being now.
Recognize that your conflict is resolved.
You are free.
Feel that freedom.
You don't have to hold on to the hurt,
Disappointment,
Anger,
Or frustration anymore.
Begin to deepen your breath,
Bringing your awareness back into the moment.
And as you move through your day,
Be willing to focus on love.
Be willing to see everything as it is.
Allowing yourself to break the separation by choosing love.
Always choose love.
