Hello,
Dear beautiful one.
Welcome to this new moon solar eclipse guided meditation.
Well,
This meditation has been created specifically for the new moon solar eclipse in Leo.
It can be used for any new moon cycle,
Or anytime you'd like a new start.
I'm so glad you've made space today to join me.
Today is a rare kind of sky.
On August 12th this year,
The moon passes directly between the earth and the sun.
And for a few brief minutes,
The sun goes dark.
This is a total solar eclipse and it's happening with the new moon in Leo.
A solar eclipse is a new moon with the volume turned up exponentially.
An ordinary new moon is a quiet invitation to begin again.
But a new moon eclipse is much stronger.
It takes something away and clears space for what's next.
This is why eclipses are often described as both an ending and a beginning.
And a beginning.
The Old Identity.
The Old Chapter.
And the old way of being gets released,
Even if we didn't ask for it,
Sometimes gently,
And sometimes not so gently.
And in the space that's left behind,
Something new has room to take root and grow.
Simply know that you are being invited to release what no longer fits and to welcome what's ready to be born.
It will unfold over the weeks and months ahead.
My name is Wendy,
And it's my honor to guide you through this practice today.
Welcome.
Before we begin,
Let's walk through what this journey will include so you can settle in fully without wondering what's ahead.
We'll start by building your yoga nidra nest and settle into your most comfortable position.
Your body needs to feel completely safe and supported before anything else can happen.
From there,
We'll focus on slow,
Easy breathing that speaks directly to your nervous system,
Letting it know that it's safe to release.
Even here in the potent energy.
Of a new moon eclipse.
Then we'll set a simple intention while your mind is calm and receptive so it can take root more deeply than it can in ordinary waking life.
Next,
We'll travel together through the body in what's called a rotation of consciousness.
This is simply a process of resting your awareness on each part of you one at a time,
Giving your body full permission to let go of anything it's been quietly holding.
After that,
We'll move into a visualization where we'll stand beneath the new moon eclipse itself,
Watching the sun go dark and then return.
Will meet whatever in you is ready to end.
And whatever in you is ready to begin.
We'll close with a series of affirmations rooted in the strength of Leo.
The courage,
The radiance and the willingness to let go and to begin again.
And finally will gently return to waking consciousness.
Simply let my voice guide you and let your body do what it already knows how to do.
Settle in and relax.
If you're experiencing yoga nidra for the first time,
Welcome.
You are in for something truly special.
Unlike traditional meditation,
Where you sit upright and focus,
Yoga Nidra invites you to either lie down or sit down,
Be completely still,
And simply listen.
You may find yourself feeling deeply relaxed.
You may drift in and out of awareness.
You may even fall asleep.
And all of this is perfectly normal and welcome.
Let the healing and integration happen whether you are consciously aware or not.
Simply allow yourself to be guided.
And trust that your body,
Mind,
And soul will receive exactly what they need.
All that is asked.
Is that you get comfortable.
Close your eyes and listen.
So let's begin by finding your most comfortable position for rest.
You might lie on your back in a traditional Shavasana position.
Or you may choose to sit in a chair.
Find whatever feels most natural and most comfortable to you.
And then use whatever props are available for your comfort.
Perhaps a pillow for beneath your head.
A bolster or a pillow for under your knees.
And a blanket to keep you warm.
Make your final adjustments.
Creating a cozy cocoon of comfort around you.
A sanctuary for rest.
Allow your body to be held completely.
By the surface beneath you.
And when you're ready.
Gently close your eyes.
If they're not already closed.
And then let's begin with a few cleansing breaths.
Take a deep inhale through your nose.
Filling your lungs completely And exhale slowly through your mouth.
With a long sigh.
As if you're letting go of everything you've been carrying.
Again,
Take a deep inhale through your nose.
And a slow exhale through your mouth.
One more time.
Deep breath in.
And let it go completely.
And now let your breath return to its own natural rhythm.
No need to control it.
Simply notice it.
As it's rising.
And falling.
All on its own.
Bring your awareness now to the weight of your body.
Feel where your body is resting on the surface beneath you.
And with your next exhale,
Allow yourself to sink just a little more into that support.
You are being held.
You do not have to hold yourself up right now.
And now here at the threshold of the new moon solar eclipse,
Let's plant and intention,
Also called a sankalpa.
A simple,
True statement offered to your subconscious while it's open and receptive.
If you already carry an intention close to your heart.
Silently offer it to yourself now.
In a few simple words as if it's already true.
And if nothing comes to mind,
You're welcome to borrow this one.
Silently repeat in your own inner voice.
I release what has run its course,
And I welcome what is ready to begin.
I release what has run its course.
And I welcome what is ready to begin.
Let this intention settle like a seed beneath the surface.
You do not need to tend to it right now.
Simply let it rest.
And now we'll move through what is called a rotation of consciousness,
A gentle journey of awareness through your body.
You don't need to do anything.
You don't need to move anything.
Simply let your awareness travel to each place I name.
Bring your attention to your right hand.
Your thumb your index finger.
Middle finger ring finger little finger the palm of your right hand.
The back of your right hand.
Your right wrist.
Your right forearm.
Your right elbow.
Your right upper arm.
Your right shoulder.
Now the left hand.
Your left thumb.
Index finger.
Middle finger.
Ring finger little finger.
The palm of your left hand.
The back of your left hand.
Your left wrist.
Your left forearm.
Your left elbow.
Your left upper arm.
Your left shoulder.
Both shoulders now.
Softening.
You're next.
Your throat,
Where your voice lives.
Your jaw releasing.
Your lips.
Your cheeks.
Your eyes heavy and still.
Your forehead.
Smoothie.
The crown of your head.
Your chest rising and falling.
Your heart at the very center.
Your belly.
Your lower back.
Your hips.
Your right leg.
Your right eye.
Your right knee.
Your right calf.
Your right ankle.
Your right foot.
And every toe on your right foot.
Your left leg.
Your left thigh.
Your left knee.
Your left calf.
Your left ankle.
Your left foot.
And every toe.
On your left foot.
Now feel your whole body all at once.
Completely still.
Completely supported.
Completely safe.
Now,
In your mind's eye.
Imagine yourself standing beneath an open summer sky.
Above you,
The sun is full and bright.
It's warm on your skin.
It has always been there.
Steady and dependable.
Slowly,
You notice the light beginning to change.
The moon is moving.
Barely noticeable.
In front of the sun.
Little by little,
The light around you dims.
The colors soften and grow strange.
The air cools.
And then,
For a few long moments,
The sun disappears.
You are standing in the dark.
In the middle of the day.
This darkness is not something to fear.
It's simply a pause.
A held breath.
Between what was.
And what comes next.
In this darkness.
Let yourself feel whatever wants to be released.
And old identity.
An old roll.
A way of being that no longer fits who you're becoming.
An ending that's finally ready to be complete.
There is no rush to name it.
Simply allow it and let it go.
Release it out into the dark sky above you.
And now at the very edge of the moon.
A single brilliant point of light appears.
The sun begins to return.
Slowly.
.
.
Steadily,
The light grows.
Spreading warmth back across your skin.
Across the whole sky.
Across the whole world.
This returning light carries something new with it.
Let yourself sense,
Even faintly,
What's ready to begin in you now.
A new chapter.
A new way of showing up.
A truer,
Braver version of yourself,
Perhaps,
Willing to be seen.
You don't have to know the details yet.
Simply let yourself feel the warmth of it.
The way the sun feels on your face after darkness.
And you are standing in full light once more.
Huh.
Radiant.
Renewed.
And now.
Repeat these affirmations silently after me.
Letting each one.
Fully anchor I release what has ended with gratitude for what it taught me.
I welcome what is beginning.
Even before.
I understand what it is.
I am allowed to be seen exactly as I am.
I am courageous and radiant.
I lead with my heart,
And my heart knows the way.
I am safe to shine.
I am safe to change.
I trust the light will return,
Even after the deepest darkness.
Before you open your eyes.
Silently repeat your intention to yourself one more time.
I release what has run its course.
And I welcome what is ready to begin.
And now bring your hands together at your heart center.
In Anjali Mudra.
And take a moment to thank yourself for showing up today during this profound time of transformation as the new moon solar eclipse unfolds.
And slowly now begin to bring your awareness back into the room around you.
Notice the surface beneath you once more.
The weight of your body.
The temperature of the air.
And wiggling your fingers and toes.
Gently deepening your breath.
And when you're ready.
And in your own time.
Stretch in whatever way feels good to you.
Perhaps bringing your arms up,
Bent over your head.
For a full body stretch.
And slowly and gently.
Let your eyes open.
Carry the energy.
Of the eclipse with you as gently as you can.
Over the coming days and weeks.
Giving yourself permission to adjust.
As things end.
And begin.
Trusting that whatever ends was ready to end.
And whatever begins.
Will arrive.
In its own divine time.
Thank you so much for practicing with me today.
I wish you a beautiful day.
And a radiant and joyful new moon eclipse season.
Until we meet again.
Namaste.
