Welcome to today's guided meditation,

Where we'll be focusing on the gentle activation of the heart chakra.

The heart chakra is our center of love,

Compassion,

And connection.

The heart chakra helps us connect deeply with others.

It helps us practice self-compassion.

And it helps us to experience the profound joy of unconditional love.

When the heart chakra is open and balanced,

It allows love to flow freely.

And it allows for both giving and receiving.

Today we'll be engaging in practices designed to activate your heart center.

And to cultivate feelings of love,

Compassion,

And inner peace.

We'll start by focusing on the breath.

And then we'll move into gentle,

Heart-opening breathing exercises.

We'll also introduce loving affirmations to assist with cultivating self-love.

And with cultivating love and compassion for our world.

We'll then move through the body with a gentle body scan.

Opening our heart space as we make our journey through the body.

By the end of the session,

You'll feel more connected to the essence of your loving heart.

And you'll also feel more compassionate toward yourself and others.

My name is Wendy,

And I'm honored to guide you through this heart-opening healing journey today.

Welcome.

Let's begin by finding your most comfortable position.

Lying down is ideal.

Yet,

Sitting comfortably with your spine supported also works beautifully.

So reaching for and gathering your favorite props to create your ideal yoga nidra nest.

And when you're settled in and comfortable,

Gently closing your eyes if they're not already closed.

And if you'd like,

You might consider placing both of your hands on your heart center,

Right in the middle of your chest.

Feeling into the natural rhythm of your heartbeat.

And placing your focus on your breath now.

Letting go of distractions.

Letting go of the chatter in your mind.

And as you focus on your breath,

And focus on going inward,

Notice how your heart is already beginning to soften.

And now,

Let's take a few heart-opening breaths to deepen your connection to this sacred space.

As you take a deep breath in through your nose,

Imagine you're breathing directly into your heart.

And then as you exhale,

Sigh it out,

Making a soft ahhh sound.

This sighing sound and vibration helps to gently open the heart chakra.

So let's do that again,

Let's do it two more times.

Taking a deep breath in,

Breathing into your heart,

And exhaling with a sigh.

And sending love outward as you do so.

One more time,

Take a deep breath in,

Into your heart,

And then exhaling with an audible sigh.

Again,

Feeling your heart space expanding,

And allowing your breath to return to its natural rhythm.

The heart chakra is in the center of your chest,

And it spins like a beautiful green wheel of light.

The heart chakra is associated with the color emerald green,

And sometimes rose pink.

These are the colors of love and healing.

So let's bring our awareness to this sacred space now.

Imagine a soft emerald green light gleam in the center of your chest.

This is your heart chakra awakening.

Feel this loving green light pulsing gently with each heartbeat.

With each breath,

The light grows brighter and more radiant.

Notice how this green light expands beyond the boundaries of your physical heart.

Feel the warmth of the green light spreading across your collarbones,

Through your shoulders.

This is the energy of love,

Your natural state of being.

Your heart chakra contains infinite capacity for love,

Compassion,

And awareness.

With your awareness centered in your heart,

You might like to set a sacred intention for your practice today.

You might use something like,

I am opening my heart to receive and to give love freely.

My heart is a source of infinite love and healing.

I am opening my heart to receive and to give love freely.

Or,

My heart is a source of infinite love and healing.

Choose what resonates most with your heart,

And then repeat your intention.

You may whisper it softly,

Or you may hold it silently in your heart.

One of the most beautiful ways to activate your heart chakra is through the vibration of love.

So today,

We're going to use some gentle humming to create healing vibrations in your heart center.

So let's start by taking a comfortable breath in through your nose.

And then as you exhale,

Make a soft humming sound and direct the vibration from that humming sound into your heart.

Feel the vibration resonating in your chest,

Opening your heart like a flower that's blooming.

Let's do this several more times.

Breathing into your heart,

And then humming as you exhale.

Notice how the vibration seems to massage your heart from the inside.

And then continue at your own pace now,

Breathing into your heart,

And then humming as you exhale.

Each hum is like a gentle caress for your heart chakra.

Opening you to love and harmony with yourself and with the world.

And please know if humming doesn't feel comfortable for you,

You can simply breathe and imagine a loving vibration.

And return to your natural breath once again.

Notice the sensation of warmth and openness in your chest now.

Your heart chakra is expanding with love and compassion.

And now let's begin the rotation of consciousness as we rotate your awareness through the body.

As we do so,

We'll be releasing tension while maintaining awareness of the loving energy radiating from your heart center.

Beginning first by bringing your attention to the crown chakra at the top of your head.

Feel this area of your head softening and releasing.

And send love from your heart up to your crown chakra.

Now bring your awareness to your forehead,

To the space between your eyebrows,

To your eyes,

And all the tiny muscles in and around your eyes.

Bring your awareness to your cheeks,

To your jaw,

To your chin.

As each of these areas relax,

Send gentle loving energy from your heart to bless each part of your face.

And then bring your attention to your neck and to your throat.

This area contains your throat chakra,

Which holds your voice,

The voice that speaks your truth with love.

Feel and imagine loving energy flowing from your heart up to your throat.

And then feel your shoulders releasing and dropping away from your ears.

Your arms are heavy and so relaxed.

Send love down through your arms to your hands.

Your hands are resting softly,

Ready to receive love and to give love.

Each finger is completely releasing and is blessed by the love of your heart.

Now place your focus fully on your chest,

On your heart center.

Feeling your heart beating strongly,

Lovingly.

With each breath,

Your chest is gently expanding,

Making space for more love.

Your heart chakra is glowing brightly now,

Radiating love.

Feel this loving energy extending down into your solar plexus and down into your diaphragm.

The muscle located underneath your lungs.

This area completely relaxes as it receives love from your heart above.

Your breath becomes even deeper and now bring your awareness to your belly.

Send love from your heart down to your core.

Your belly is soft and relaxed in the embrace of your heart's love.

Feel the warm glow of love filling your body.

And now continuing as we rotate your awareness through the body.

Send streams of loving light from your heart to embrace these areas.

Now moving to your thighs.

Your thighs are heavy and so relaxed.

Both feet of your heart chakra.

Feel your entire body being held and supported by the surface beneath you.

Feel your entire being held and now with your body in a state of complete relaxation and with your heart wide open.

Let's now take a brief journey with a healing visualization.

Imagine you're sitting in a beautiful garden filled with roses.

The air is warm and fragrant and pink light dances all around you.

The colors of love and healing.

With each breath you take visualize breathing in pure love.

This love fills your heart chakra making it spin faster and glow even brighter.

You feel completely safe and deeply loved.

Now imagine someone you care about deeply appearing in this garden with you.

Visualize love flowing from your heart to their heart.

And feel their love flowing back to you.

Both of you are bathed in this beautiful exchange of unconditional love.

Now expand this loving energy in your heart center to include all beings everywhere.

Your heart is vast and infinite.

It can hold all of creation in love.

Feel into the connection to the web of love that connects and heals all hearts everywhere.

Allow your heart's natural wisdom to continue the healing process.

Your heart chakra is skillfully doing its work.

Restoring love.

Restoring compassion.

Restoring your connection to all that is.

And now with your heart completely open.

Your body fully relaxed.

Allow yourself to rest in this deep state of love.

Until you hear my voice again.

It's time to begin your journey back to waking consciousness.

Start by becoming aware of your heart still glowing with green and pink loving light.

And your natural state of being.

And then begin to bring some small movements back into your body.

Wiggling your fingers and toes.

Flexing and pointing your toes.

Perhaps touching your thumbs to each finger one by one.

Maybe slowly moving your head from one side to the other.

Each movement is an expression of the love flowing through you.

Take a moment now to notice how you feel.

Notice the warmth in your chest.

The openness in your heart.

When you're ready,

Slowly opening your eyes.

Coming back to this present moment.

As you return to your day,

May you carry the deep knowing that you are love.

In your heart's wisdom.

And may you feel deeply loved.

Love is your true nature.

It's always available.

Always present.
