She specializes in cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based treatments for anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, and general stress management. She is a certified teacher of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and conducts MBCT groups for anxiety and depression as well as for people with physical health conditions that are stressful and that impact emotional health (for example, hypertension, cancer, heart disease, etc.). Dr. V. collaborates with researchers at multiple academic medical centers (including NYU and Cleveland Clinic) to develop mindfulness curricula and adaptations of MBCT to improve accessibility and relevance for diverse groups of clinicians and patients.
