Hello and welcome,
Beautiful Insight Timer community.
Today we are on Day 3 of our 12 Days of Gratitude Journaling.
Yesterday I had the opportunity to be a guest on another teacher's live and that teacher goes under a smile from heaven.
I highly recommend that you check her out.
It's actually her and her husband.
She does some amazing cacao ceremonies and until I met her I had never even tried cacao and I love it now.
So grateful to her for her insight and for sharing the beauty of cacao ceremonies with me.
We had talked about healing and that prompted me to pull out a deck by Rebecca Campbell called the Healing Waters Oracle.
So I randomly pulled out a card and I got Cosmic Ocean.
Water features in the creation stories of countless cultures across the globe,
Perhaps more so than any other natural substance or mystery.
Echoing through these symbolic narratives about the birth of the world is the notion that everything originated from water.
Many creation myths speak of life arising from the primordial waters or the great cosmic ocean.
The Rig Veda,
The oldest Indian sacred text,
States that creation began within the darkness where all was an unrecognizable salty ocean.
And to the ancient Babylonians of Mesopotamia,
In the beginning there was both salty water and sweet water,
Which merged to create the gods.
In many creation myths,
Transformation and emergence occur in the places where natural elements overlap.
While Celtic mythology doesn't have a specific creation story,
There is the fable of Ioka,
A white mare born from the foam where the sea met the land before time began.
This card is one of promise,
Hope,
And new beginnings.
What dreams are making their way into your consciousness?
What is it that you're dedicated to creating?
While the manifestation may not be immediate,
Time will bring things to fruition.
Trust in the whispering dreams of your destiny,
Just as the new beginnings of a stream may one day flow into the vast ocean.
Something new is beckoning to be born.
So dare deep and wide,
Dream your future into reality.
So what does this have to do with gratitude,
You might ask?
I'm a huge dreamer,
And I believe that gratitude and dreams are so connected because the more gratitude I've had in my life,
The more my dreams have come true.
And I love focusing on gratitude because I think it takes my mind into a world of possibilities.
And today I thought a good journaling prompt would be to write down three things that we're grateful for about our health.
The reason I wanted to focus on health is because I think that's sometimes one of the things we take for granted.
I am relatively healthy.
I'm so grateful for that.
But I have to admit,
There have been times I've taken that for granted.
And I was having a conversation with a friend recently and remembered a time in my life when I couldn't walk.
And this,
I wasn't a toddler.
I was five years old.
I developed a medical condition.
I was in the hospital for six months.
And surprisingly enough,
That's something that I never talk about.
I think it's almost something I've forgotten,
That there was a time in my life when I was confined to a hospital and wasn't mobile,
Was not with my family.
And when I think about that now and how that could have turned out differently,
I am so filled with gratitude because I can walk today.
I'm not in a hospital,
Obviously.
I'm home.
I'm healthy.
I do so many things.
And I'm so grateful for the body that has carried me throughout this beautiful journey in my life.
So today,
I would like us to focus on that.
Focus on your health.
Focus on three things that you're grateful for.
And maybe you're not in perfect health,
But what is working for you?
What about your health can you be grateful for?
I'm gonna put on this music.
And again,
I'm using Blossom Violet's music because I love her music so much and it's so inspiring to me.
This track is called Grace of a Butterfly.
I'm gonna listen to this music and I'm gonna do some gratitude journaling with you.
And we'll meet back here in a few minutes.
All right,
My friends.
I hope you had enough time to get some good thoughts down on paper or type them into your journal if you're using your computer or dictate them to your phone if that's what works for you.
Remember,
The most important thing to do is whatever works for you.
Don't follow any rules.
I'm not a believer in setting rules.
I go with what works for me.
And so far that's been working.
So I suggest you do it as well.
And I hope that journaling about your health and showing gratitude for that is helping you cultivate this powerful tool.
Just acknowledging the simple gift of good health and expressing thanks helps us shift our perspective.
And my goal with these 12 days of gratitude journaling is just that.
Let's shift our perspective.
All right,
My friends.
I look forward to coming back here tomorrow for day four of our gratitude journaling.
Until then,
Stay amazing and have a wonderful day.
