Good morning.
Welcome to this gratitude meditation.
My name is Victoria and I am so grateful that you are here today.
Starting your day with gratitude is a great way to open yourself up to positivity and appreciation of the little things in life that can often go unnoticed.
So let's begin by finding a comfortable position,
Whether seated or lying down.
And take some time to move your body in any way that feels good right now.
Maybe rolling out your neck.
Just any little bits of movement that will help you settle into stillness.
As you feel ready.
Begin to soften.
Find a place for your hands to rest.
Soften all the little muscles in your face and jaw.
Now let's take three deep cleansing breaths,
Breathing in through the nose.
And exhale,
Sighing out the mouth.
Taking two more cleansing breaths here at your own pace.
Notice if there's any last little bits of lingering tension in your body that you can soften with this next slow breath.
And now returning to your natural breath.
Start to bring your awareness to the center of your chest.
Notice your heart beating in your chest like a drum.
And if you'd like,
You can even place a hand here for a moment to.
.
.
Connect to the sensation and feel your heartbeat.
Our heart is the place where we can connect to gratitude.
So taking a moment here to first send yourself gratitude.
For carving time out of your day to care for yourself and your mind.
This small act of kindness towards yourself is what allows you to also pour the same love into others.
Let's take another deep cleansing breath in through the nose.
And exhale out the mouth.
Now I'd like you to think of three things that you are grateful for today.
Absolutely anything that comes to mind,
No matter how big or small.
Take a few breaths to sit with the joy you feel for these things in your life.
And imagine each deep breath filling your heart with even more love and gratitude.
Let's take another deep cleansing breath,
Breathing in through your nose.
Exhale out the mouth.
Now bring to mind another person you are grateful for.
Anyone here in this world with us now,
Or someone watching over you.
Imagine their smile in your mind.
Maybe even bringing a gentle smile to your face.
Take a few breaths here to send this person love and gratitude.
Maybe even silently saying to yourself,
I am so grateful for you.
Or any other words you would like to send to this person.
And now take another deep cleansing breath.
Notice how your body and mind are feeling.
And start to bring in gentle movement through your fingers and toes.
Bring a soft smile to your face.
And as you feel ready.
Begin to gently blink your eyes open.
And if you'd like to journal about your experience or what you are grateful for today,
I'd highly recommend it.
Or just giving yourself time to let this meditation soak in before moving on with the rest of your day.
Thank you so much for choosing to meditate with me this morning,
And I hope the rest of your day is filled with love and gratitude.
Until next time.
