Kwanzaa Day 5- Purpose (Nia)

The principles of Kwanzaa are universal and can be celebrated year-round. The fifth day of Kwanzaa is Nia, which is Swahili for "Purpose." Join Venus in a poetic affirmation of this important principle. Purpose.

Take a deep breath.

And remember,

When you were younger,

Before you began to doubt your power,

For days you could commune with the creator,

Every minute and every hour,

Imagine you were given instructions.

Visualize yourself in the womb.

Go back there now.

Ask the creator,

What,

Where,

When,

And whom.

Remember,

We find our gift,

Or present,

By being present.

We find our gift by being still.

You can be one with your purpose.

You can be one with your purpose.

When you have the will.

When you have the free will.

Now if you are ready to turn up,

Or turn on your inner light,

Feel free to repeat after me,

Or recite.

I'm enjoying the journey.

I have guidance and direction.

I'm guarding my thoughts.

This is my soul's protection.

I fix what I can.

And what I cannot fix,

I let it be.
