Settle into a nice,
Comfortable position,
And then gently close your eyes.

In this guided meditation,
We're going to step out of the routine and the mundane and reconnect with the beauty and wonder that's constantly surrounding us.
So take a nice,
Deep,
Nourishing breath,
Imagining that you're breathing in the very first light of a brand new day,
And exhaling,
Releasing any worries or to-dos.
All of those things can wait.
This time is just for you.
Settling into just a few moments of stillness and quiet,
Relaxing the muscles of your face,
Dropping the jaw,
And releasing the shoulders down,
Allowing softness in the body to guide the mind to a similar space.
And just taking a moment now to appreciate the gift of this new day,
And maybe choosing to see it in a slightly different way,
Not as a series of to-dos and duties,
But as a vast,
Open territory of space and time that's meant for adventure,
Experience,
And learning.
What would it feel like if you went through your day with childlike wonder,
Like you were looking at the world for the very first time,
Noticing all of the beautiful details and sensations,
The taste of your food,
The warmth of the sun on your skin,
The freedom to explore ideas and places,
The overwhelming sense of joy when you laugh with a friend.
There's so much beauty to enjoy in life,
But we so often tune it out simply because it becomes familiar.
So today,
I invite you to set the intention to tune all the way back in,
To remember that the ordinary is,
In fact,
Extraordinary.
And I invite you to deepen this intention by thinking of one thing happening today,
No matter how big or small,
That makes you glad to be alive.
See it clearly,
And feel the excitement and anticipation,
Sending a silent thank you to that thing for giving you something to look forward to in life today,
Bringing to mind one person who makes you glad to be alive.
Whether you'll see them today or not,
Picture their face and the joy and support they bring to your life.
Sending them a silent thank you for being a part of your journey.
And now,
I invite you to seal this intention for the day by repeating this phrase to yourself,
Either out loud or in your mind.

If you're ready to wrap up and turn towards your day,
Take one final deep breath in,
Filling up with gratitude.

Just let the air fall back out,
Remembering that there's nothing to force in life.
