This is a meditation to support you to walk into your next meeting with a sense of calm,
Of purpose and of inner power that allows you to speak up when your voice is needed.
I'm Trish Everett,
Let's start.
You may or may not be able to close your eyes for this process.
If you can close your eyes,
Shut them down now.
If you're not able to close your eyes to do this process,
I invite you to focus on something in the middle distance.
If you have a plant in your office,
Put anything that you can put your attention on in the middle distance and let the whole scene in front of you blur away to shapes and colours.
As you focus on your breath,
As it comes in and as it goes out.
Notice the sensation of your breath coming in your nose and going out of your mouth or your nose.
See how the path of your breath is and just check in with how are you feeling about this meeting.
As you watch the breath start to become aware of what you're feeling,
Acknowledge that feeling it's perfectly okay and valid to be feeling exactly what you are feeling right now.
Now I want you to imagine walking into the meeting and it being an amazing meeting.
What does that mean to you?
So visualize yourself walking into the meeting now.
What would be the ideal way for you to be feeling?
Will you have access to your inner power,
To your inner leader?
Will you feel you had clarity?
Will you feel prepared?
Will you feel heard and seen,
Acknowledged and respected?
Okay,
Feel now that power in your body,
The power of your inner strength,
Your inner leader,
The power of your clarity,
The power of your voice,
The power of your respect for yourself,
Your colleagues and to finish up this preparation let's send out a pulse of compassion to yourself and to everyone that you'll be sharing the meeting with.
Now again become aware of your breath,
Breathing in and breathing out.
We like to slowly start to move your body and if your eyes have been closed it's time to open them up.
If your eyes have been relaxed and on the middle distance it's time to bring them into sharper focus and step forth into this meeting with a sense of your power,
That inner leader that you hold in your heart,
With a sense of your power,
With a sense of your voice and with access to your inner calm.
